To be fair they both do and Biden is currently the favorite (save the old part) for being the next Democratic President. It's extra ironic it's about creeping on women in the first place.

I felt this was more established here than it apparently is, but the point of highlighting the NYT's was that they are often held up as 'above the fray' or whatever and they aren't. They get into the mud too. EDIT: I'd add that the extremely problematic nature of the NYT tweet is displayed even in P6's post where he errantly repeats the mistaken impression from Farv about the article having anything to do with tox results. I apologize for any errors that may be repeated, but I don’t have the article to read it. The full text of the article isn’t in the thread, just the tweet with two images of the headlines.

No worries ![]() Farv was kind enough to dig it up for us: http://www.teamliquid.net/forum/general/532255-us-politics-mega-thread?page=16#315 * wrong link at first But the tweet itself makes no mention of toxicology, just getting suspended for marijuana. Point wasn't to dig at you though, just to highlight how what the NYT does is destructive and works just as we saw illustrated by your post. That well meaning people (even people on my side of this argument) can misconstrue it so easily and how that get's rapidly propagated based on social conditioning and other factors.

We have video of him clearly making women and young girls incredibly uncomfortable with how he touches them, not just a tape of him talking about it. Democrats would do well to abandon Biden and never look back. More than a dozen women have come forward with sexual misconduct allegations against Trump, including rape. Biden is accused of being an overzealous hugger and shoulder rubber. Is this really an equivalence you want to keep making?

I wasn't judging by accusations, I was judging by what we have video evidence of (barely meets today's 'real evidence' threshold as it is). Of course the accusations against Trump are worse than those against Biden, I'm not sure even any of the many women and little girls we've seen in the videos have ever been so brave as to mention how clearly uncomfortable they were made. The closest we have is Jeff Sessions keeping his grandaughter I think? away from Biden. + Show Spoiler + ![]() You may have me in that the allegations against Trump stand more numerous and egregious than the lack of accusations against Biden, but I don't think this is A. Hill you or Democrats in general want to die on either. Biden should be fondly remembered as a jovial VP at best, he shouldn't be the Democrat's mouthpiece for anti-harassment gallantry against Trump in any way. It's a bad look for everyone involved. which is my point, conceding my earlier overstating.

I’ll have you know I graduated top of my class in the Art of the Deals, and I’ve been involved in numerous secret raids on Deep State, and I have over 300 confirmed electoral votes. I am trained in gorilla warfare and I’m the top twitter sniper in the entire US executive branch. You are nothing to me but just another target. I will wipe you the fuck out with precision the likes of which has never been seen before on my Earth, mark my 280 fucking words. You think you can get away with saying that shit to me over the Internet? Think again, Biden. As we speak I am contacting my secret network of spies across the DNC and your IP is being traced right now so you better prepare for the storm, maggot. The populist storm that wipes out the pathetic little thing you call your life. You’re fucking dead, Biden. I can be anywhere, anytime, and I can kill you in billions and billions of ways, and that’s just with my yuge hands. Not only am I extensively trained in unarmed combat, but I have access to the entire arsenal of the United States Republican Party and I will use it to its full extent to wipe your miserable ass off the face of the country's political sphere, you little shit. If only you could have known what unholy retribution your little “clever” comment was about to bring down upon you, maybe you would have held your fucking tongue. But you couldn’t, you didn’t, and now you’re paying the price, you goddamn idiot. I will shit orange all over you and you will drown in it. You’re fucking dead, Biden. https://www.politico.com/story/2018/03/21/drugs-right-to-try-congress-434677 My impression from the article is that this would be rolling back "protections" for people wanting to be experimented on because they're totally fucked anyway. A family member of mine passed away after trying to find experimental drugs. There was an insane amount of red tape and in the end, they died. He basically had the perspective of "nothing can be worse than what I am currently going through, so I may as well show up and see what they've got" Never managed to get anything. I can't emphasize enough how doomed this family member was. I really wish he was given the ability to just roll the dice. Overall, I would like to see significantly relaxed rules around human testing.

Overall I empathize with the position , having lost a loved one under similar circumstances. Can't say I'd want to leave it to any government we plan on electing in the next 2-4 years though.

There is a reason Trump won the primary; American conservatives are sick and tired of weak leaders. When Trump gets attacked, hes expected to push back otherwise he loses support. Like when the leader of Russia shows a video of his palace getting nuked, right? That would be something to definitely push back on. Besides, nothing screams strength and security like having a twitter-fit because another politician said something mean about you. Please let's not pretend they voted for for Trump because they are actually sick of weak leaders, that's far too generous.

A lot of his style was punching back. That isn’t a desirable quality unless the majority of conservative or even RINO leaders refuse to do so. It’s good for ratings too.
