Killing them does not make it fair like "they did bad, they got punished". And because there does not exist a good enough punishment that can balance with a murder, the only viable thing is to prevent this from happening. Altought this will not eliminate the criminal instinct, it will surely lead to a diminuation of such cases. As Durkheim says, a small criminal rate is needed for the society to work out well and it cannot be prevented. Then let's keep it as low as possible. | ||
