yo guys, i was just toking, and i started thinking to myself, am i damned sycophant?
i'm not sure why this thought crossed my mind. i just feel like it's human nature, not to mention a function of natural animal guile to defend oneself with passive aggression. anyway i don't know what it is. whenever i'm challenged i respond in this very obsequious way, not to say the real definition of the world, just sort of i can't act directly.
of course there's the great perfect circle piece
i feel like a political solution to problems is way better than a non-political solution. like why would you ever argue directly? obviously the other person believes what they believe and you believe what you believe. so if there's a conflict, there's no point talking about it.
this is the high thread so i'll be candid here. i think what you oughta do is just sabotage the other person's public image, or if you're not given to that, you should try to claw at the person's insecurities, whatever they may be. this may not be the most effective weapon for making a point, but at least it allows you to have some recourse against your fears. eventally if you destroy the other person's confidence, they'll become receptive to your beliefs in an a vain attempt to reconstruct their sense of self. this isn't an ideal solution of course, but what other options are there?
the worst would be not to act. if not taking action is the alternative, then i think by far attacking from the shadows is a superior choice.
i dunno we're just naturally political people. like our brains are the brains of plants in the rainforest seeking sunlight. we're jostling and jockeying with other plants to gain purchase and gain sunlight. it's a slow game reaching for the sun's light day by day to survive. we've gotta outmaneuver the other plants, and the time horizon is almost infinite, because plants live so long. striking a decisive blow isn't possible because you're a plant, but with time, and great patience, and superior strategy, you can gain influence in the plant kingdom and the rays of the sun will shine on your leaves alone.
we are all singing all dancing plants of the world. and the only way to avoid the toxic acid sludge of coughing is to destroy the other plants with our herb-fueled guile. by cuts and scratches we tear away the green vitality of our competitors stems. in time even their roots will wither and die if we are persistent. this is the honorable way. the plant way. we are the plant.
Took acid again last night! Highly recommended to anyone in here who knows how to handle themselves. Kicks your brain into gear for quite a few hours, and makes looking at the most mundane shit an experience in itself. I can't even imagine someone having a bad time off 1-2 tabs, so long as you're in a safe place and your friends aren't arseholes. To any aspiring psychonauts out there, good luck, have fun, and be ready for an indescribably incredible experience!

Did you know that significant amounts of DMT are released in your brain (a) when you are born, (b) when you die, and (c) during REM sleep? DMT is as much (if not more) a part of you than cannabis & the endocannabinoid system.
I haven't done shrooms or LSD in years, but the other week I was convinced (after some research) to smoke DMT.
You don't even know, man...
Being forced to stare at reality, your mind, and your situation from a 3rd-person perspective can be a frightening and profound learning experience.
I'm not quite sure what I'm going to do yet but ffs I'm going to do it and it will be awesome!!!
I LUV U GUYS!!! xD
After a few LSD experiences I decided never to use it again, or any drug harder than weed for that matter.
DMT might be released on our system in certain situations thats true, but im not the least bit curious to try it, its just not in my nature to act on stuff, so id rather not have more stuff that i wouldnt act upon, if you know what I mean

Oh fuck yeah dude, I was looking into it a shitload and plan on doing it too. The stories are so amazing, from what I read on Erowid. Though if you want to have that sort of out of body, crazy look-at-reality-from-the-otherside experience, I think you oughtta try salvia.

i think i've had more bad than good trips on salvia, but i dont regret it because either way it's interesting. i have to be in the mood for it and after doing it i usually need a break from it for awhile. ive gotten best results with using music or doing it outside in some crazy area

Yeah, when I do it I plan either to do it in the forest, with a sitter, or at home listening to music. I'm looking forward to it.
By the way, anyone know what the laws are regarding buying cough syrup in PA?

i assume you're talking about dxm? idk about PA but I assume if you're getting medicine with high potential for drug abuse then you'll have to be 18 years old.
i'm not sure about dxm. i've taken a bottle of gel caps twice recently and while it was an interesting experience, i don't really want to do it again. the trip didn't include visuals or anything like that, i was just extremely disoriented in both space and time. it actually reminded me of being drunk with a tiny bit of salvia dissociation to go along with it. also... there seemed to be a 2-3 day depression hangover after both times. the first time i just took the dxm, 2nd time i got high along with it but the 2nd time was less intense. no clue why, probably due to tolerance.

Well I'll just say this much. I did a lot of dxm when I was in high school, and then I did some ketamine in college, and consequently I won't ever do dxm again. It really just doesn't make any sense. What I'm really saying is go rob a vet clinic

I don't think you should state those things so strongly as fact, all the things about DMT you just mentioned are speculations at best. There's no actual scientific evidence. On the other hand the endocannabinoid system has been studied much more thoroughly.

But I'm glad you had an awesome experience on it!
Correct. The things Barrin listed along with the widely circulated claims regarding DMT and the pineal gland are all based on Rick Strassman's conjecture in the book DMT: The Spirit Molecule. That said, DMT is still a fascinating compound and it may yet be proven that it is created in the pineal gland and that it does influence REM sleep/near-death experiences/etc.
Also, any TL'ers own an Arizer Extreme Q vaporizer? I got one pretty recently and wanted to see how high other people pack up the bowl.
time for some smoking again. Nothing fancy, just get drinks and food near the couch, plant myself in there and get going. I hope I won't become too lazy to walk in the bathroom to piss.
