Yup, thanks for the update. Congrats again Colorado!! I hope world follows you soon.

I fear the DEA/DOJ are going to rip Colorado a new asshole. Time will tell. Truly amazing to see Cannabis finally legalized in at least part of the country.
|
There's 4 states up for legalization? I thought it was three? I have only read news on Mass., as well... Halp!
Maybe I'm just too high. I read that post wrong. Oh well, glad to see one state going green!

Hopefully Obama will direct them to stop doing that now that he doesn't have to worry about his reelection.

From CNN feed apparently:
Reacting to a close vote in Colorado on legalizing and regulating the recreational use of marijuana, the state's governor John Hickenlooper released a statement:
"The voters have spoken and we have to respect their will. This will be a complicated process, but we intend to follow through. That said, federal law still says marijuana is an illegal drug so don't break out the Cheetos or gold fish too quickly."

I really really really hope that's what happens. With reelection out of the picture maybe Barry Obama will remember his roots with the choom gang and finally take a look at our draconian drug policy.

Looks like it's going to pass in Washington. Good thing I only have to drive across a bridge to get there :D.

Oregon represent!
Edit:
Turns out Oregon didn't pass the legalization measure
Damn. I'll have to admit that Washington is a superior state now.

Smoke on Washington, Smoke On

That is such an happy day to me. I don't really care smoking pot even if it's illegal, but the fact that it's illegal creates so many problems in society... Good job Colorado, good job Washington! I hope it snowballs!
|
I voted yes for amendment 64 in colorado, and I don't smoke marijuana and I hate the whole culture behind it, just because there's no real good reason for it to be illegal.

I'm not joking. Far from it. I believe it's about time we wake up.

Thanks for not thinking about yourself and only yourself and for voting for what you think is best as a whole instead of what you think is best for you, you're giving me faith in humanity

Moved from oregon to washington a few months ago. Guess I made the right choice.

So is that: Colorado, Washington, and Massachusetts now?
Sweet. Maybe my prediction that it will happen nationally within 12 years will come true now.
