The most epic trip, and 5 days, of my life, even though I don't like football and we mostly stayed away from all the fuzz :3 I'd recommend to any smoker (or any open-minded person in general) to visit Amsterdam in their lifetime if at all possible.
The best part isn't all the weed (well, OK, it is), but also the fact that everyone is so amazingly tolerant there. You will never get harassed (unless you ask for it ofc, but that's everywhere) for being a tourist, a muslim, gay, black, white, purple, Christian, Hare Krishna or Scientologist as long as you're respectful of everyone else. Such a nice society and an INCREDIBLY nice mentality change from the Balkan shithole I'm used to live in. And it functions perfectly.

They've been "considering" it for 10 years now. They aren't stupid and know how much tourist money it brings, and that it would only fuel the illegal weed trade and thus increase crime rate. They just have to speak out about it because of the rise of conservative politics in the EU.
They want to introduce a weedpass which will be mandatory for every dutch citizen who wants to buy weed at a coffeeshop (foreigners not included). If everything goes according to plan they want all coffeeshops in the southern parts of the country using this pass in 2011 and the rest of the country in 2012. I hope it will fail, its not a done deal yet but its getting really close.

So lets hope people will start voting for leftwing parties again so they can legalize more drugs!

i was outside with a friend we went to a park and lit up a joint.the thing is only 1 side of the joint lit so we tried to light the other side but it wouldnt light so the bottom of the joint burned about 1/3 in then we got the top part lit. when it did the bottom was still burning but farther ahead so it made a weird effect it was like having 2 joints lit on the 1.

I don't see how you can determine the quality of a schools drug ed system based on ppls awareness of drug laws/ politics in amsterdam. (maybe thats just me tho)
