My homemade water bong was made with the end of a hose(cut off to fit an appropriate length) shoved into a green tea bottle. It was simple yet so sturdy. I also put a hole that you cover with your thumb while you're taking a hit to build up the smoke in the bong.

Pretty sweet, my friend threw it away though X[
