If refugees are a drain on society (if) then plainly pensioners not being properly supported is linked to it. I don't really get how there's a debate about that. Economy hurt, taxes spent on something = people relying on government support are worse off.
Pensioners not being properly supported is due to 1. bad wages, which has nothing to do with the situation right now, and 2. lacking government support, which however was known for years already. There is no causual relation between this situation and the refugee situation, which means that the link between them is meaningless. Thinking that the refugees are bad for seniors is either incredible stupid, right wing propaganda or both.

University students are a bit different. An educated populace is a boon to society, which is why it makes sense to pay for them.
it's low wages during their worktime that is ruining pensions, not refugees. It's a silly race to the bottom to play one disadvantaged group out against the other. Not to mention that one of the biggest threats to the pension system is an aging population. The 10 or 20 billion that we're going to spend on refugees over the coming years are nothing in a 4 trillion economy.
Not to mention that reducing cheap labor will just mean that your stuff is going to get more expensive, productivity is increasing wealth, not closing the labor market.
One of the most screwed over groups of old people are single women by the way because most of them were stay at home mums who never worked a day and now have to live off their husbands pensions. Getting women into the labor market is going to do more for the future old populations than rallying against minorities.

Not uncommon to have these 3rd generation muslims here (I would even say quite typical in any migrant area). They are taught at home that their stone age so society is superior, which gives rise to a combination of high self confidence combined with low academic and social achievements.
Also the only ones that that will have a problem because of the low birth rates are the baby boomers and since they are currently in power they ruin to the country with their 68 bullshit.

the questions is: where do you get quality immigrants? usually rich countries have the problem of a low birth rate and rich country are often rich because the peoples productivity is high while poor countries have abundance of workers but they are poorly qualified and are thus not suited for rich countries. you can try to get the best people from poor countries but that only makes the already poor countries get poorer because they lose their best. thats not really a long term solution. that doesnt even count in the reality that an infinite population growth is not sustainable.
what we need are extensive programs to boost the average productivity to support the ones who cant work anymore. this means an ever improving education system that includes and integrates everyone, social programs to get people back into the society and a tight medical net to get people healthy again quickly. just to import or breed new people isnt going to solve anything.
