Would Russia attack unarmed people should Ukraine choose to surrender? I would like to think "No." If that is true, then maybe laying down your arms is the best answer. Obviously, if I'm wrong, then that would be a fatal mistake too. Seems they are pretty fucked either way. US/Europe won't even sanction most Russian oil/gas (maaaybe NordStream2). You think they are going to fight for Ukraine now? After Zelensky has done literally nothing to prepare his own nation for this war, which he was publicly warned was coming for months and repeatedly laughed off? After Putin threatened to nuke anyone who intervened? At most this tweet means that the US/British arms lift to Ukraine might continue. But even that probably won't. | ||

He's sending peacekeepers there right now. How do you impose air superiority on Ukraine's behalf? By killing the Russian Air Force with the US Air Force. Only way to do it. That's war, plain and simple. That war ends with nuclear missiles obliterating human life as we know it. Putin's speech contained lots of historical revisionism. Doesn't make him insane. Lots of Russian nationalists think the way he does. | ||
