He created the Threewave CTF mode in Quake 1 as a mod and got hired by id Software to create CTF for Quake 2 and 3. He moved on to Retro Studios in 2000 as a senior programmer on Metroid Prime 1 and 2. He is currently working at Valve on Dota 2 Thx, didn't know him, now i will watch the interview. Nice career! oO

We have a high quality mixer and there is no higher pitches going through it, it's even set up to clip the higher frequencies out so that you won't hear the high pitch from the CRTs, but there's some audio compression going on from Twitch's end that's causing it.

Goddammit. The end of the pokemon run was super hyped, the two punchouts were absolutely the bests of the bests. Go watch that when you have the time.

The constant "ringing" that's around in some runs when people talk (it exists in this run as well but it's quiet enough not to make it awful) is a feedback that's just lingering in the room so to speak. Shit like that comes from a mix between speaker setup / microphone / equalizer setup. A limiter or something similar won't fix that, usually you want to take just a couple of dB out once you figure out the frequency (most likely this one is somewhere in the 1kHz-3kHz range). Easy fix is grabbing good headphones and taking out single frequencies a little bit and see what makes it better or worse.
