Bg5+! 3. hxg5 White breaks the pin itself and Black can take the Queen 3. ... gxf3 2. ... Bg5! 3. Qd2! Black's bishop can't move. 3. ... New here in this thread, I am trying to find a wooden chess set. I found many of them on amazon but none of them has like 100+ reviews. I was wondering if there was a standard set which everyone gets. Thanks for the help | ||

The other idea might be to play Nh4-f3, Kg1-f2-e3, Qe2-g2, Rf1-h1, Ra1-g1 and g3-g4. It's a double-edged try because Black gets play on f-file, but if you want to get some play in this drawn-out position, you gotta take risks. | ||

If the a,b-pawns are dissolved, wouldn't the knights still be better than the bishops though? (After moves like a4 etc) | ||

(After moves like a4 etc) yeah but the double pawns might be a problem if he can go h5 and later g6 and defend it well you have no way to attack id probaby go nf3 get my king out and go for a kingside attack where you have more space e6 is a potential vulnerability and meanwhile black would have a very hard time pressuring c3 or the queenside in genearl | ||
