Dude you have quoted my post, read it again please. I wrote Daft Punk wasnt THIS popular before Tron. That means they were never played this much on radio, tv and other media outlets. I was tired of Get Lucky long before the album got released thanks to radios playing it constantly

and I think you are wrong. if anything, Daft Punk was MORE popular at the release of discovery / human after all than at the release of Tron.
edit : http://www.google.com/trends/explore#q=Daft Punk
And I'm not sure if we have to take into account that Google wasn't used as much back in 2005. (maybe google trends actually does that ?)

Listening to the album right now, its great, don't know if its a 'classic' but I guess time will tell. So refreshing to hear electronic music that doesn't have 'dropping the bass' in it

I don't know what you are listening to but most of the electronic music don't. This "dropping the bass" thing is kinda recent.

This "dropping the bass" thing is kinda recent. I've been listening to only dubstep for a looong time, I guess I should have said it was only refreshing for me Anyway I'm liking the resurgence of 80's-like dreamy electro-pop that's been going on and this kinda reminds me of that... so I like this (hope that makes sense)

Bands like Rammstein or Iron maiden don't get much air time either but they still sell out stadiums.

This is by far my favorite Daft Punk album, I loved everyone before this one too. Given their background in samplers and synthesis, this album only solidifies their talent as recording artists, composers and producers. The quality of sound is second to none. To all the doubters, haters and none believers, please open your ears, mind and <3.

So basically, That town is having their annual county fair and Daft Punk decided to do their release event during that particular fair.

I really enjoy Random Access Memories. It has such a nice vibe to it and I never get tired of hearing through the album so far.
My fav track so far is Touch and Get Lucky.

Wow, I used to listen to Daft Punk all the time, I loved their older stuff. I just listened to "Get Lucky" from OP and holy crap it sounds terrible =(
Edit: F**k I'm so pissed now. I came across this thread and was "HOLY S**T YES!!! Buying this ASAP!!!" Then I listened to that garbage song and discovered that one of my favorite bands is getting a little loopy in their later years...

I like the album quite a bit, but I didn't go in with any crazy expectations because I've never been the biggest Daft Punk fan in the world. Pretty catchy, will purchase.

actually it really cant compete with their first albums.

Actually there is a thing called opinion and talking absolutes for stuff that entirely depends on opinion is pretty retarded

Tell me again which song on the album Justin Bieber is capable of singing? A vocoder makes you sound robotic, but it's not autotune. I guess he could be in one of the choruses.

You must be REALLY upset then

Checking Wikipedia, there were apparently 25 (!!!) producers on that kid's last album, including e.g. electronic music producers Diplo and Zedd. For a pop star that big you tend to have high powered producers ensuring that the image & voice of the star are backed up by catchy/trendy music for maximum revenue.
Other than the vocals, the music has long ceased to be about the kid's 'songwriting skills' I would suspect...
Not sure whether the quoted person was suggesting the tracks could have been written by his pop army, though.
