I'm just in a silly mood. I've had too much coffee and sugar. I haven't eaten yet. My nipples are sore from Friday so I'm in a constant state of mild pain and arousal. There's other stuff both "good" and "bad" affecting me right now and it's all a very very complex system that would take a very very long time to dissect in any kind of logical manner and by the time that all the nuances *were* effectively explained, I'd likely be in a very different mood that may be coloring how the achieved data is interpreted and then we'd have to start the whole process all over again and who wants their life to be about that, amirite?
I guess I could best be described in this current moment as lackadaisically throwing chum into the waters to see how the sharks react. Do they frenzy? Do they not? Which ones if not all? Do they start fighting each other for a piece of the morsel? Do they collectively vote that no one should go for this particular piece of chum?
What I can say that is a personal truth of mine is that I find the concept of "should" to be both boring and fascinating. It's not even "real" and yet is so important to so many people for so many different reasons. Sometimes I think it comes down to a very basic and primal need to connect with others through the construction of "us" vs "them" in the form of "should" and "shouldn't". That basic and primal spirit has been overshadowed and practically silenced by society and the construction of roles therein. I like trying to be the child who hasn't been affected by social conditioning though. The child who hasn't yet learned to other people because we're all people and on that basic level, we are connected. The child who hasn't been influenced by the unreality of "should".
Sometimes I find other kids like me, but it's pretty rare. I don't think I'm smarter and I'm not judging anyone for being ignorant because there's a lot more out there that I don't know than I do know. I just prefer existing in what feels more real to me as free from "should" as I can with others who, at least in the moment, can share that space with me. Playing the game of ideas gets tiring sometimes because, more often than not, ideas and the realm of the unreal is sourced from fear and it almost instantly creates an emergent system that is so large and so complex that it feels real to so many people.
I wonder if anyone else ever stops to take a moment to realize that this is all stuff that we make up and asks why we are so invested in our fear-based make-believe realities that we agree upon.
