Looking forward to this for sure, definitely learned to appreciate and respect the speed running community a ton over the last year, so this will be particularly awesome.

I am curious why Sig's 120star run is at like 7AM PST though, you think that would be one of their US primetime headliners, alongside Cosmo (based off twitch viewer counts I usually see at least!).

I absolutely loved this event when I saw it last year, and I'm sad that I'll miss a bunch of the first few days to move back in to school and finish up my winter classes, but after that Tuesday i have nothing but time to watch endless video games! Very excited, donated $15 last year to help a great cause (and get Flicky to rant about Neo G. Soulkey for a while) and plan on doing even more this year! Can't wait!!!

Awesome! I can't wait, loved the Awful Games done Quick last year, it kept me entertained while I was stuck inbed for a full week with illness.

This isn't just a charity marathon though, this is THE charity marathon. I am actually asking for extra days off of work just to sit around and watch this and only this. If the OP in this thread is anything to go by, this will be the best one yet.

Out of curiosity, where is the actual event held? (or is it a top secret location?)

It's held at the 4-H Centre, Chevy Chase, Maryland in the USA.

For those asking about really broken games, there's a bunch but the ones that spring to mind the most are Donkey Kong 64 (hilariously broken) and Darksiders (so broken it's depressing). There are a lot of other destroyed games (I think Pokemon Gold glitched% is mashed) but those are the two that stick out.

For least broken, DMC3 has no glitches in the route at all. 100% glitch-free. I think Ninja Gaiden Black is low on glitches too. Again, the others I can't say too much about. It would be easier if you ask me if a game is glitched or not.

I have one question though as I have been watching some of these guys stream the last week: What are the games with the most and least amount of glitches ^^

Difficult to say!
A fan favorite heavy glitched run is Zelda: Links Awakening
You can at it here (i.e.):
http://www.archive.org/download/AwesomeGamesDoneQuick/AwesomeGamesDoneQuick_part61_LinksAwakeningGlitched.mp4

Aside from that: Sonic games are also always heavily glitched.
But personally I like great glitches, but more important is the pure skill of many of these runners! i.e. looking at "breakdown" destroying Super Meat Boy is pure art!!

Don't get me wrong, I don't mind the glitches.
I just would like to know what I'm in for for most of these games ^^ I have only watched a couple of the Zelda and Mario games and Banjo Kazooie

Ocarina of Time is incredibly glitchtastic--MST and All Medallions (the latter affectionately known as wacky% by many speedrunning fans) are such incredibly broken categories... in All Medallions you literally kill King Dodongo then warp straight to the credits.

All Medallions (commentated):

I can't find a video of the current MST route because zeldaspeedruns.com/leaderboards is down atm

All Medallion is incredible. It litterally doesn't make any sense from start to finish :D

Whoa, that's stupidly close to where I live! Is it open to the public? I had always thought it was held in someone's basement.
Even during difficult times, when I sat down to play the game, there were times where it felt like god has descended down and played [for me].

Visitors can come visit but there's some kind of donation or pay required to do so. Someone was saying $40 or something like that but last year we had visitors and all they did was put some money in the donation pot. I think you could probably just contact someone who's there, meet them and settle up afterwards.

I believe it was held in Uyama's basement the first year.

My favourite time of the year, especially looking forward to the SMW 96 exit race and watching Werster do battle with Pokemon Gold's memory allocation.
