Anyway, to the immediate sides of that opening, there were two small, perfectly symmetrical holes. They were my hiding places for a long time. Now I've nothing to hide, and thus, have nowhere to hide things. | ||

At the time, they were all old enough to be evil and young enough to not respect privacy, nor understand the consequences of revealing such. In my particular case, at the time...My girlfriends parents are abusive, and restricted her from having a relationship. We've been together for six years now, but for the first three years, that relationship was private. Secret. Because of such, most of our relationship for that period of time was communication through letters (we lived three doors down from eachother, and were best friends for two years beforehand, so it was kinda easy to do this every day). I hid the letters in that spot in the old house. So, sometimes you do need someplace to hide things. :p | ||

I remember I took sex pictures with a gf, and the silly girl hid it somewhere stupid, so her mom found them when cleaning her room. I found this out during the family dinner. Kinda quiet. | ||

Best thing you should've done was tell them, because trust me, they knew. Or at least if I pulled a similiar stunt, my parents and family would know. Like if you sent letters, everyone who got the mail would be like "wow, another letter from this guy." Or "what's this guy doing always writing letters..." Or if you just slipped them to her, everybody would see you doing that. But maybe I'm just in-tune to that kind of stuff. Ask them now. I told my sister that I read her diary with hilariously personal stuff in it when she asked, so they'll probably fess up if they knew. Oh yeah, my hiding spot was in some pink stuff you put in walls in my dad's workshop which I am pretty sure is not asbestos. But recently, I've realized that the best thing is to keep it in your pocket. As long as it's important enough to remember and not leave in there. Or if it's too big... put it in a box which I can always see. | ||

My family is less like a family then a very loose bunch of friends. My siblings weren't and aren't around me often, and likewise, I to them. My parents are some of the most laid-back, noninvasive people I know, and never snooped. Nobody knew. And, as I said, we lived three doors down from eachother. We went to the same school, and, at the bus stop (clear of anyone we knew and of our houses) we exchanged letters nigh daily. Nobody knew, until one night, when one of my brothers found my hiding spot. Guess what happened then? Everybody got to know. Things got real bad very quickly, and it took awhile for them to be good again. Point being, I knew my siblings and I knew the situation. We weren't found out mainly because we were best friends for two years beforehand. We always hung out, so it didn't come into suspicion when we spent time alone. We still write to this day (I'm about to take a 41 page letter to her on Friday :p), though we've no need to hide things anymore. | ||
