How many people do you need? Not to mention the blood values and whatever other new evidence they found but now can't present because Armstrong gave up. Then there's also the 1999 urine samples. That wasn't a real doping test formally. But in practice it was and there was EPO in his urine on I think 5 out of 6 samples. And as of today he kinda admitted himself he doped anyway. Problem is those 10 witnesses were probably dopers themselves who were offered deals to testify against Armstrong. And if the newer (2009 - 2010) blood test results were that conclusive why not simply publicize them and the relevant methodologies and demonstrate Armstrong's guilt once and for all?

Yay!! Could someone explain why he would give up his 7 titles and accept a ban if he didnt do it? Guilt is not quite the only reason to accept a verdict.

There is only one reason why he is not going to show up in court - he knows he is going to lose because the evidence exists, and if he doesnt show he will only lose the titles and not money, Livestrong Foundation etc.

I loved to watch TdF as a kid with my dad, because these guys did impossible feats of strength and endurance. After it turned out to be doping fueled from bottom to top i couldn't enjoy it anymore. This scandal ridden sport became a joke to me and shouldn't get the attention/money it is getting till it's clean, which may never be achieved. Or just let them dope and breed supercyclists whatever. In case of this sport i don't care anymore. Also, I don't just blame the cyclists. The organizers, team bosses and medical staff are as blind/corrupt/criminal. I feel pity for all amateurs and honest pro-cyclists.

I agree take them away when he's active or don't do it at all. I am sure if you go test the samples of the athletes from 10 years back you will find shit in all of them.

Bjarne Riis won in 1996 and was just recently forced to admit in order to avoid prosecution. Alberto Contador got his title taken more than a year after the race was over. How do think those people, who know that Lance Armstrong cheated as well, would feel if they just let him get away with his 7 victories?

On top of the indications and evidences the fact that he has regularly beaten heavy dopers like Ullrich and Pantani speaks for itself. I can feel for his fans though, I was in denial about Ullrich's doping for too long, too. Just accept reality, nothing but a dirty cheater who gets some of what he deserves. A shame that he can keep the money. What evidence? And because someone is faster than a guy that dopes, it doesn't mean he doped himself. There is no positive test and he still gets accused guilty. This sport is a farce, nothing more. Even wrestling is closer to the truth than cycling these days...

There is no evidence, he passed all his drug tests while competing. And just because he beats other cheaters is not enough to brand him a cheater for the rest of his life....

Even wrestling is closer to the truth than cycling these days... 1. positive tests 2. blood data consistent with blood doping and nothing else 3. accusations and witness reports of former team mates 4. his inhuman riding times 5. him beating a field of people that all doped 6. his sudden improvement only consistent with doping 7. his association with doping doctor Ferrari, or with other people involved in doping 8. apparently he is willing to part with 7 tour titles because he's tired of fighting back? 9. he was never caught before, to be sure, but there were enough loopholes to make the testing regime a joke and very easy to fool (as detailed by multiple experts and former team mates) absence of positive tests does not mean you are innocent 10. a riding and preparation style (everything for the tour) is associated with doping use 11. he had highly elevated testosterone values early in his career, only consistent with steroid use but sure, it's a witch hunt...
