This is a tragic event. Let's not derail the thread with a gun control debate. Posts from page 9 onward will be moderated for steering the discussion towards gun control.

what other purpose could their be? i mean, what do they hope to gain by posting things asking for random people to help them deal with it and what not? shouldn't they be seeking help with a professional? also, shouldn't they avoid people mimicing professionals at all costs?

![]() I just don't want to think about this anymore, yet still want to know the details about this, and how this tragedy came to be...

Maybe they couldn't find a baby sitter and it was a big family event? Why do people keep asking this? What does it even matter and why is it worth speculating about? On the plus side, the 3-month old has been released from the hospital and apparently was brought in mainly as a precautionary measure.

Why do people shoot 3 month old babies at gunpoint is the more important question. People bring babies where they shouldn't all the time...

Whoa that's so good to know. Not having known anything else, it sounded like the baby was actualy shot and it was one of the especially saddening things about the shooting.

I feel like this is relevant and I hope that someday news companies will stop thinking about money and viewer numbers in order to prevent tragedies like this ![]()

Not to make light of lives that have been lost here or anything, but feel fortunate you don't live in a country where shit like this is almost normal.

Now upwards of 50 injured and 15 dead including a baby (which btw, why was a baby at a midnight showing???) Anyways, terrible news. Why do people keep bringing up the baby being at a movie.. Stuff happens. Not everyone can find a babysitter whenever they want to do something. That's just how it is. How can someone expect that there is going to be a crazy guy shoot up a movie theater?
