Consider your talents. You speak English. You can try teaching English for real cheap. Post signs at some school. There are plenty of other ideas, but that one is the most simple I could think of. Since you can't predict how long you'll be there, it would be safe to start learning the language.

since its off season and in europe , there are no hostal job. and the bar/resturant jobs are limited. however im still trying. meat set me up with a job working for the site , 10hours of work. i can distribute it daily. i worked in australia for 3months in the cotton fields. before i came to europe. i went to australia with 2000. lasted me 3months. then found a job on a cotton farm with other back packers. we worked 16-20 hr days / 7 days a week for about 11 weeks. i made 12k. which paid for alot of activities in australia and my flight / expensives to europe. in the end i had about 3500 for europe. tame thats ok. its the thought that counts :D

Surely the police would help out a bit, can't you explain everything, and get them to try and talk to the airlines. The standby spots at airlines give ultra cheap flights, especially if you get the embassy to help out a bit!~ I had a friend who worked at an embassy and they hated doing anything unless they kept gettin gbugged everyday by people. If you're really worried, go with a friend :p. hey if i backpack through europe for 3 month with 3000$CAD would the trip be possible? and what should i prepare? I don't know what the currency rates for CAD are for USD, and also what the exchange rate is against the euro. I planned my trip like this: I had about 2.5k USD after I bought my eurail pass, airplane tickets, backpack/tent/sleeping bag, guide book, etc. I figured if I spent under $50 a day (and you can get by with much less), that would last me about 2 months. I went to europe for 3 months, and limited myself on the cash I brought with me on purpose, so I would end up working and having a much more 'real' experience. Although it was a lot of fun for me, for some people, that won't do. If you plan to do a lot of typical touristy things like go to all the museums, monuments, and eat out a lot, you will spend up to 75-100++ a day easily. The closer you go into a major city, the more expensive things becomes. Even public transportation adds up after a while. As for preparation, there are tons of things to do, but ill list a couple things off the top of my head. Plan your trip very well ahead of time, with a general route in mind, and make sure your eurail pass covers all the countries. Depending on where you're going, you will want to buy a guide book/language books (If you plan to visit only the major cities like I did, if you speak English you wont have much trouble communicating, but if you plan to go to random small towns and villages, you better be prepared). I would want to avoid the peak tourist season, which is spring - summer if possible, and maybe go early spring or fall. Rates for hostels are much cheaper then. Equipment wise, it depends on what you want to do, and when you plan to go. I bought a small 2 person tent and a sleeping bag, so I could save even more money by staying at camping grounds (cheaper than hostels), or even camping out in random fields. I had a poncho/raincoat just in case, and couple changes of clothes, guide book (Lonely Planet - very good imo), toiletries (very expensive to buy in big cities as I found out), water bottle (if you plan to go off the beaten track, then you might want to buy a filter/iodine tablets, etc), a huge ass backpack, extra pair of sneakers (didnt think i'd use them, but came in handy when it rained). Im probably forgetting a ton of things, but those are what come to mind right now. PM me if you have any other questions.

- someone tried to mug me at knife point in a deserted street in Amsterdam, and as I was running away, I thought I was trapped, so I jumped into the canal and got all wet for no reason. - missed the train, and ended up sleeping overnight at a train station. Funny thing was, there were a lot of shady people around at that time, so me and this African guy I ran into who lives in Italy (professional marathon runner whos sponsored by his town) took turns sleeping, while the other guy kept a lookout. - got on the wrong train by accident, then somehow started a fight between some nice italian people (who were defending me) and the conductor who was trying to extort money from me. They threw me off the train on the next stop in the middle of nowhere. t_t lol - I pitched my tent one night on a slightly sloped ground, and when it started raining, the pegs got loose, and I ended up rolling down the entire campground. - got robbed couple times in hostels, but thank god I didnt lose my money/passport/rail tickets. I lost all my toiletries, some clothes, watch, swiss army knife, flashlight. t_t but, even with these difficulties, I had a blast :p, in fact, it only added to the experience ^^

Since we're on the subject, isn't WCG going to be held next year in Italy or something? This is a pre-invite to anyone who'd like to hang out here (in Sicily) a week or something then travel with me up to mainland to WCG(?) I don't know who can go or whatnot, but I'd like to go since I'll be in the area. I've never been to that kind of event before. Anyone provide any info about it?

not that it's important but I have 3 final research papers due.. tomorrow, wednesday, and thursday. and I have almost nothing done on any of them except for 1. and yet, spending the last 20 minutes or so reading this entire thread seems like a good use of my time. I'm serious, this was very entertaining and somehow even inspiring.

And what about the police. Did you report the crime? If so, they should be able to (assuming you're not exagerating) tell you what kind of gas they used. I think it might be the made-up-gas because why would somebody take the trouble to gas you when they can rob you by gunpoint? It would take a shitload of work. I want you to take some pics of you in amsterdamn. Post the dated version. I just don't buy the store. You may well be in amsterdamn (you're not neccesarily just good at messing with ip's) but I also think you probably weren't robbed, and are just giving us a sob story so you can you mooch some money.

This is definitely the fucking best thread on TL.net I've ever read in its entirety... can't believe I fucking missed when this thread started or you can be sure my name would be pasted all over these 20 pages. Hows Your Taste is now 2nd, rofl. User11, I've added you to MSN... do you have a blog where you are posting what you do everyday + statistics on how much cash you have + who has donated and how much to you? Pictures, etc.? If you had one - this would definitely make me want to donate to your paypal. I, being the selfish little snob I am want to know that I am really helping someone in need, although I buy your story - you seem like a good, honest guy who just had a round of bad luck - I realliy do want some "entertainment" (although what is happening to you is FAR from entertainment, it's downright horrible and nobody should ever have to go through it) for myself - and by that I mean updates on how you are doing, what you are doing with your time, things that are happening over there with you, etc... I'm just so curious and interested in your struggle.

edit: nm found the blog on page 13 http://helpuser11.blogspot.com/2005/12/story_05.html But only one entry. Why isn't he updating? Seems like he has enough access and time on computer... What else does he do for 24 hours to occupy his time?

I didn't see anyone asking these questions, if they have been asked, please humour me with the answer ![]() Why doesn't his mother send him more than $50 CAD? I mean, I could send him that much. I understand that they are not well off, but doesn't your mom want you to get back home? But I don't know how conditions are with your mom's financial situation. How did you even get to live at this girl's place? Is she a complete stranger? Did you ask random strangers if you could stay at their house? Did you exchange any services or promises to pay? This seems totally weird and inconceivable to me; can you explain?. How did you at one point have incredible luxuries like an iPod nano/ digital camera but still have so little cash? I mean, an iPod and a digital camera would require constant access to your personal computer + internet access. I understand that you worked so you had income that way, but still... I would have thought you would've been more conservative and long-term related. Also - please daily update your blog! Tell us what you do, what you eat, where you go, what you feel, how you're doing...

"how do we know we were gased" i usally wake up to the smallest noise. my small carry on back pack with all my valuables was on the desk beside my head. they managed to go threw it . emptying it. as the same to my big back pack. we reported to the police. and they werent really much help. here fill this out. ok heres your police report. sorry good luck. thats what we got from them. no advice . no investigation of the hostal no nothing. as for pictures , i dont really have a camera lol. but i do a few pictures that i sent to my mother a month to go when i went to stone hedge. i plan on meeting up with liquid`meatand possibly nazgul and razski ( lives with him ) in the new future and Passion from TL.net on monday . which is tomorrow :D . im sure passion will bring his camera. is there anything else i can do for you to "prove" my situaton or where i am

Tell us what you do, what you eat, where you go, what you feel, how you're doing... hey . i met the girl when i was traveleling around australia in january. we stayed at the same hostal. we were pretty "close" it was to bad we had to go our seperate ways. i told her i would see her again. before i went to prague to meet up with some friends , i met up with her at her house. only for the nite" then after prague i gave her a call. she said i could stay as long as i want at her place till i get things figured out. shes helping me alot. i help out around the house. clean , dishes " i cook for her when ever she asks.. she loves my cooking "i was a cook back in "canada" as for the ipod and camera. that i worked so hard to get are a must when traveleing. not nessarly an ipod. but an mp3 player and a camera. i loaded my ipod with music before i left and my camera i had to visit net cafes and emtpy them on cds. i had about 3 cds full of pictures also stolen in prague. i was exactly short on money. i admit the way of carrying around almost 1500 euros is stupid. but was well hidden and unexcessible to everyone "so i thought" my dad died about 5 years ago.. left us with bills. my mom lives off monthly checks from the goverment "long term disability" she hurt her hands at her work. she was a head of a radiology department. i have 3 sisters. theres not enough money to go around. As for my Blog . they guy who created my site for me hasnt been on msn. and i have no idea how do post on it or update it.. up till last week i never new what a blog was >< i hope this answers all your questions and others thanks

If so, they should be able to (assuming you're not exagerating) tell you what kind of gas they used. I think it might be the made-up-gas because why would somebody take the trouble to gas you when they can rob you by gunpoint? It would take a shitload of work. What did the police report say. Usually they sort (maybe it's not called a police report, but you definitely can get a hold of it) of give their opinions on what happened. You know like: Suspect claims they were gassed but there was no evidence of this. Just explain how you knew you were gassed. Was there a grenade sitting in the room. How the hell did they get the gas just into YOUR apartment. Other people living there would notice the smell. Unless they're fucking super agents who gas a precise room. I repeat: How did they do it? Vents? What? It just doesn't make ANY sense. Do people often get gassed in prague? I've never heard of it. If they don't, then you saying I think I was gassed would get the police interested. I say your story is BULLSHIT. And am guessing that you're whoring for money on tl.net to have a nice trip in amsterdam. Just doesn't add up for me. For instance:WHY THE FUCK DID THEY RIFLE THROUGH YOUR BACKPACK WHEN THEY COULD'VE JUST TAKEN THE WHOLE THING THEY'RE FUCKING JAMES BOND WITH GAS AND YET THEY SPEND UNNECESARY TIME AT THE CRIME SCENE.

hmm... eerie smell in room = might be gas. we didnt wake up. = most likely gased. we got a police report done. czech cops are corrupt. they didnt care. didnt even ask where it happened. we had to bring it up. still a mistery of how they got in to our room. door was locked. windows locked. no sign of break and entering. but got the gas, usally they pump it under neath the door. was only 4 of us to this apartment on top of the hostal. so no one else could of noticed the smell 4 back packs 4 carryon backpacks. cameras mp3 players = ALOT of stuff to carry out of a hostal with out getting noticed. why would i be working for meat , slaving away on the computer filling out directories for 10hours. you know how boring that stuff is? but i have to. and putting chickens in cages? im not asking you to believe you story . and you are intiteld to your opinion. but if ur going to ask all the questions read the whole thread. because i believe all the questions you have asked have been asked already. you still leaving out. why didnt they take ur passport / train pass . cuz i threw them under my bed before i went sleep. also leaving out . are you sure it wasnt of my 3 friends. yes cuz they got robbed to and we checked each others bags . to get the thought out of everyones head. umm what else.. i think of more questions that have been answered that u will later ask. i will gladly ask. oh.. great time in amsterdam? i havent been downtown amsterdam since i got robbed. im in a outer suburb called zaandam. ask people in netherlands what a shit hole it is..

![]() Maybe when my travels in Europe go wrong (starting in late april after warming up with some other travelling), I can contribute something like this, though hopefully not asking for money. Armed only with my average looks, £500 and the ability to play + sing an hour-long set on my 3/4 size acoustic guitar, I hope to have an epic journey. Though I struggle to see how it can turn out as fascinating as user11's.

I am 6'0 in real life, that makes me 60 feet "on the internet" I guess. Don't make me mad, I will stomp you with my foot. And I don't think I'm spoiled because I was born into poverty, and everything I have I have earned(my mother didnt even have a car until a few years ago when she was given an old beater handmedown). Furthermore, you need to stop making excuses for your misfortunes and failures. You come on an online forum(and you have less than 300 posts, most of which are in this thread), begging for someone to take care of you because you are a fool. You should always have a backup. Keep your money in a bank. Find resources that can help you avoid being ripped off in foreign countries. Be proactive, plan ahead. Someone "pumping gas" into your room is not a good enough excuse. You should expect shit like this. Europeans scam artists/thieves prey on idiots like you. [/rantover]

As for your "my whole opinion of you just changed. im sorry if i cant bring my self to clean some ones house and get pointed and laughed at for 20 euros not even..". I'm coming there to Netherlands to mug you soon. Seriously, you're here BEGGING for money instead of doing a REAL job when being offered to you. And laughed at? We'd be drowning in shit if it wasn't for cleaners and janitors and such. And if you lost the $50 at Party? You're apparently stupid as well.. ^^ Merry fucking Christmas! ps. I didn't read where you have the access to TL.net either, but I'm assuming it's a public comp - otherwise you could've sold yours, right? You can always go sell your ass, I hear it's legal in Amsterdam.

why didnt you get travel insurance? honestly, what are you? the worlds shittiest traveller? i rented a car with some friends this summer and we got in a terrible car accident (we honestly could all have died but thx to seatbelts and our car stopping like an inch from a canyon, only thing we had was a sprained shoulder and a cut above someones eye), luckily it wasnt our fault, but our car was completely total-loss (it was like 1 meter shorter after the accident), insurance immediattely offered us TGV tickets home and a hotel to stay in for a few days, all on their costs, we just stayed in the hotel for a few days, exchanged the tickets for a new rental car and continued travelling. this is what normally happens when you get in trouble during a vacation, but honestly, you seem so completely ignorant and unprepared. if you had informed yourself, you would know that tourists constantly get ripped off in eastern european countries, so you wouldnt keep all youre money with you, you would keep it on a BANK ACCOUNT (get traveller cheques). when im on a vacation, and we go visit something, we just take our valuables with us, or when we go out at night with public transportation, we just go to the reception of the camp place/hotel where we are staying and ask whether they could hold on to them for us. and really, we didnt even get extra insurance for the vacation where are car was total-loss, it was all included in our normal all-purpose insurance, i dont know how dumb you have to be to go on a trip that you know is going to last a few months and then not getting extra insurance. you deserve to be stuck in the netherlands. honestly, seeing at the way you planned youre trip, i am not surprised you got robbed AND i am not surprised youre still not home. youre stuck without money and the first thing you can think of doing, is asking an online forum for help? thats youre best idea? really, just go to the canadian embassy and you'll be home in no time. oh, and if you had informed yourself beforehand, you'd know that tourists constantly get robbed in eastern european countries, and you would have prepared yourself for this.

cleaning naz/meat/raszi's house would probably be cool work.. you really think they'll point and laugh at you? they're just superlazy and don't wanna clean themselves. they'll give you some company while you clean.. they even offered you beer+weed while cleaning. what's wrong with that? imo asking everyone for money makes you a huge loser, while if you'd work your ass off wherever you can it'd would give you respect and people would probably send you more money to help out. and i laugh 20 times harder at someone who's doing w/e shitjob on a farm than someone who cleans houses. everyone has to clean their own house anyways, nothing bad at that. anyways hope you get your money and get the fuck out of our country! lawl nah not like that. hope you can back home before xmas and stuff but i think it'd be good if you'd change your attitude a bit. ![]()

it takes like 2 hours, just step into youre bank. insurance costs money? yes it does, but you should ALWAYS get it when travelling. embassy didnt help you? this i dont understand, its youre right to get send back home when youre stuck abroad. even just using atms with youre canadian account was a much better plan then bringing it all cash, you had what? $ 1500? if you split it up in like 10 transactions, you'll only waste $30 but youre money will be safe. honestly, there is no way i can get myself to feeling sorry for you, just because you are most likely the shittiest most unprepared traveller ever, and you DESERVE to be in youre situation.

Hasn't said anything about pretending to get kicked out of the house so the Embassy has to get him home. He's explained why he didn't want to clean and why he didn't meat up with Passion, but I thought they were weak excuses. iirc it was "i didn't feel like it" for not meeting Passion, wtf?

one plane ticket has to be what youre family and friends combinded make in like a year or smth? i mean, if they dont even have the money to all pitch in like 50 dollars to get you home oh, and really, i dont doubt that youre stuck in the netherlands, i just find youre situation so weird that you just have to be lying about something.

Don't get offended about Strafe or other guys, they are just some guys who are a bit depressed and need some love(which I pity that they are not able to show any in peticular...), we get good people in the Internet, and bad, you can't always hope the best of TL.net, TL like real life, has many good people but it is also filled with clever yet pathatic and cruel people that suck up to the admins(so they wont ban them, obviously). Ignore them. How ever, I do wish you to take every possible job opportunities you have and do them regardless of what they offer. House cleaning is not that bad, people have took much much harsher jobs than all the ones you've been offered(not that I'm in a position to discuss which job is harsh but still, I know ppl who will clean toilet everyday for 50 cents in china). I also demand(can I demand? haha...) you to be home at christmas so it will be a nice story through out. "I worked so hard so I can be home at christmas" sounded a way better story than "I worked but failed to be home at christmas" One last thought, you do not need to sound angry with the people who are flaming you. I once was angry with the ppl that were flaming at me and flamed back, and guess what, I got banned :p But I grow out of it so yeah... no worries. Keep your composure, be noble man. Why zorro with out any money in his pocket manage to get himself into the nobleman's house and gather information? He's got the composure of a nobleman. You must be high in spirit status, even if you are cleaning houses and picking up shits like a servant, you can still be noble, and ppl will like you more. Do what ever it takes to get home. Make good story. One last thought, a quote of mine... "We live our life in such way that we can keep our grandkids entertained with our wonderful stories we make." Make your memory a good one, no regrets. Done~ hopefully you read them all... I think it might help. P.S I have a happyman holding a cup because I'm in the lead in liquibet, EAT MY DUST suckers! :p P.P.S Ah darn~ You not gonna be him till feb 2nd? Dammit~ that just ruins the whole story... ![]() How about(excuse me) get into a ship and get smuggled into canada illegally :D that'll make a ten times better story with the draw back that you might die and not able to tell any story at all :p

If you want to do something for the community that helped you, you could write your story down and try to publish it in some way so the site gets some recognition. And be sure to post next time you go to europe, money or no money!

Iv been getting tons of Facebook messages. I usually keep up to date with my Team liquid account. School/Work is very busy for me at the moment. Yes to all you skeptics , Team liquid and its community did bail me out of a jam while backpacking through Europe. Everything about this story is 100% true. i did meet up with a few members from tl.net that live in the Netherlands. We had a great time!! ill Answer as many questions as possible ^_^ im happy to see this bumped.. As for the notebook. It never actually sold. Scammer after scammer kept sending fake paypal notifications that wanted me to ship first. haha . I am currently using it at the moment. ^_^

It might seem cruel to lie to an embassy but i would do it but nevertheless he got home and it was all good and TL is such a great place.

To get the help that they should be giving you anyway so you don't have to feel bad mooching off friends and random people on the internet. What kind of question is this? As for the person who said that he needed money and not a place to stay, what did he need money for? Wasn't it pretty much for food? Getting the embassy to assist you in getting into a shelter would have eliminated the need for this. Sure, it would have been a lot less interesting as a story, but it would have also made a whole lot more sense than looking for random jobs online and burdening people with your situation (basically the girl he was staying with and whoever else was supporting him while he was meeting people for free meals and drinks). I'm not sure why you would see this story as inspirational at all. Maybe it was inspirational while he was backpacking across the world, but I don't see anything inspirational about his decisions from the moment he was robbed. If anything, they were irresponsible and short-sighted.

He needed money not just for food, but to change his flight because the ticket was for a plane in the UK at Feb 1st and he couldn't afford to stay at that girls house until then. Changing your flight location and time isn't necessarily cheap either. I would rather him be sincere than be a dishonest person.

If he told the embassy that he didn't have a place to stay, it wouldn't have necessarily been dishonest since he only had a place to stay due to someone's good graces. It's not like he had a hotel he was paying for or an apartment he was renting. He was essentially homeless.

They may not complain about it because they feel sympathy for you, but still you should take into consideration that you're burdening them with your problems as well and try to find a better way to deal with it. If you go to my photo albums and look under random you will see the lovely girl i stayed with " Sylvia" and other pictures from around Europe that i had a on disposable camera. I never went inactive. I got right back in to BW after few a few months back. I hung out on the site quite a bit. i still kept in contact with old bw friends. Im really proud to see my old friend " Lzgamer" still very active and doing well!! I will never forget what the Tl.net community and its operators did for me.. You can see how TL changed from 2005. BMers from then would have been banned long time ago if this was a new thread :D Also, I must say when User wrote "close" about the girl he stayed with I was sure he meant they had sex, but much later he said they never did. Also, I must say that if I was around when this was happening I would be pretty pissed how he just disappeared for 2-3 years (last post 24.12.2005 and then again only end of 2008). I would have wanted to know how it ended. But reading it all together it was like watching an adventure movie or something :D

i thought i would post some Q/A fK.Korn aka mannerwatt (sc2 i believe ) did qualify for WCG Canada that year. we were planning on sharing a hotel in Toronto. I don't regret not participating because i would of missed out on all my adventures in Europe and this thread would have never happened/ " why wasn't the pressed involved , Gas attacks are rare." I really don't have an answer for that. We contacted the police and gave them all the information they needed. The only response from them was " we will look for your stuff" which wasn't very helpful. If you google "Gassed and robbed" or something along those lines alot of cases pop up. Some even in Prague. It could possibly be the same people doing it.

Reading the positive reactions and support that MOST people had all those years ago really gave me a sense of how close knit the community was back then and has taught me the value of not being too afraid/proud to ask for help when you really need it. Also found it amusing how reaching 20 pages made this one of the longest threads back then! So happy that I got to read what I agree to be a great part of TL history. I highly recommend that everyone take the time to read all of this. Makes me super proud to be part of this community and a little regretful that I haven't been part of it for longer. Also makes me wonder about what other great stories/threads/events have happened that has led to TL being the awesome site it is today (I'm sure I'll eventually learn more/read about those over time). Lastly, I also feel obligated to say that...Strafe is a douche! :p TL;DR: I highly recommend reading this entire thread cause it's an awesome, epic story and a great piece of TL history that will make you proud to be part of this community; Strafe is a douche :p

Sometimes even parents have no money...

No you didn't read the thread because you would have known that he already had asked his few friends for money and spent the whole day looking for work and this was basically his last resort. Always better to admit that you don't know what your talking about then to act like it. Btw it was 50 dollars

There was never any confirmation from anyone else that they had met User11 in the Netherlands. Passion offered to meet him, but it looks like he was "too busy". There's also no proof that he met any of the TL admins: Meat and Nazgul never confirmed having met him. He did work for Meat over the Internet, but there's no indication that they ever really met. He offered to meet users at the Out Back Bar, but no one replied saying they were there. No word from "jelmer" he was supposed to meet either. Didn't give Jelmer's TL username. The way he rejected Meat's offer was a bit strange: if he really only had 100 euros in donations on his paypal, and needed at least 150 more + some to pay back his friend, then 8 euros / hour would have been good money. 8 euros per hour is still a decent salary for cleaning a house in 2011 (11 USD/hour, way above minimum US salary). Working 20 hours would have given him the 150 euros he needed. He said he wouldn't clean the TL house, but "im still looken for work that doesnt involve me cleaning your room and u pointing and laughing.... ANYTHING :D" anything? Cleaning a house doesn't sound so bad. He also never upload any picture of himself or friends, or of his ticket (blacked out of course) or any kind of proof other than his words. The only things in his favor: he still posts, he gave his facebook (could be fake) and no one, including the admins, called him out on it or said anything. So, this could be true, but... I think this definitely could be a scam and some people don't want to see that possibility. There are some good scammers and you should never believe a good story from a stranger without some kind of proof.

I believe it wasnt meats offer i think it was nazguls.( cleaning ) A Tl.net member located in toronto lent me the money who wishes to remained anonymous. I did meat up with a few tl.net members. I only took pictures with one of them who is pretty well known. ErkaBrand "WGT Super Admin" at the time. I will have to track down those photos. As i look back now i dont know why i turned down the extra hours of work i could of had cleaning meat and nazguls place. For all you wondering i did not receive the 50$ claimed to have just been sent to me. If it was actually sent i can assure you it wouldn't be accepted.

As i look back now i dont know why i turned down the extra hours of work i could of had cleaning meat and nazguls place. This really intrigues me, why would you reject such an offer, specially if you were an "old bw gosu" as you stated in your first post, i don't see why reject the offer to clean the TL houses. It's not about "turning down extra hours of work", it's more about turning down the opportunity to meet Nazgul and Meat. That seems really odd, specially if you were such a bw fan, and a TL fan. I doubt they would have laughed and pointed at you, as you decided to take the job and clean their houses, and somebody that is in such a dire situation won't think like this.

just read up to when user11 posts again in 2008. just gotta say, WHATTA FUCKING EPIC STORY. being a naturally skeptical person, i thought this was a massive scam, and a little bit of me still thinks it is. but perhaps, this is the case when someone genuinly needed help, and tl was obviously so fucking awesome to help him. ofcourse, there are the obligatory flamers/trollers/haters, but man this guy was so smooth rollin them over. however, i hope u learnt some lessons from this, e.g. always having a backup. as much as i really hate the flamers, they did have some points which you should always do when your travelling from now on. u need to always have backup money. u need to have insurance. this is meant in the nicest way possible, and im glad u made it home wow, you seriously could write a book about this and the power of the internet. tl is such a frickin awesome forum.

OK I want to ask you all this: The guy is a KNOWN Canadian BW player... I'd say around B-/B level if I recall He was going to WCG Canada... friends with Fayth, Veg, hell, maybe even Testie... so him being Canadian adds up. He was tracked to a Netherlands IP address how can people not believe this story?
