It absolutely should be required TL history reading (maaaybe an abridged version though ^_^). I just read all 840+ posts from beginning to end. What a crazy, inspiring tale!

Honestly, it kind've overwhelms me with "sc2-joiner" guilt

but I feel a bit better believing that if this were to happen again today, we'd all help out just as readily. Just think how differently this could've turned out if everyone decided to be a skeptic O.o

Just read to when he finally got back home on the 28th. Hot damn that was an epic story. I feel this could have been made into an awesome movie.

Unfortunately this story also generated some wanderlust in me. I really really really want to go travelling now... unfortunately I've been a lazy ass the past 5 years at uni so I haven't worked or saved up anything to do so =(

Oh well, I can just live vicariously through stories like these I guess. Epic bump. Awesome story. 5/5!

Oh lawd... I actually sat down and read the entire thread... I'm glad this didn't happen to me. But had I been on TL back in 2005, I'd donated for sure - hoping ppl would do the same to me.

I remember being on B.Net during this time period, that's why I love this story so much. Players like Drone and Testie would actually 2v2 on USEast. LJT did, too. It was a pretty good time period for BW.
