Yes. Though the predictions incorporate the current turnout this cycle as well, so they're not really pie in the sky.
Edit: "This is a divided country; Democrat and Republican."
Keen insight, Fox News.

So a lot of sites I'm reading have called Ohio for Obama even though he's behind?
Are the remaining polling booths to be counted very pro-Dem?

thx americans for restoring a bit of faith in me.
how people could vote for romney is beyond me. but i guess 2 party system and the standart "I R REPUBLICAN/DEMOCRAT FOR LIFE NO MATTER WHAT" are part of that.

Good ol bigotry.

I do not understand American politics Why did the republicans gain seats in the house while Obama easily won the presidential election?
I understand how the system works. I just do not understand why people would vote that way. Politics has changed. The parties will not work together. You have intentionally (as a nation) voted in an ineffective government by voting in both parties.

Land of the free, and all. Home of the brave.
Brave soldiers who come back and want to marry their male significant others after fighting for their country. And getting told by Romney to the face that they shouldn't marry.

he means how they're calling a state that hasn't finished counting.
basicallly they project what votes are left based on polling tendencies of those counties. so if all the republican counties have been counted and romney only leads by 1% then obama is likely to win given the majority of remaining votes will go to him.

it's actually possible we'll see the equivalent of a "blue moon" in American politics. A candidate who wins the popular vote, but not the election.

Again, another person just openly flaming. If you don't have anything to contribute to the thread, please don't post. We're trying to have a civilized political debate here. All I've done is bring a bunch of political facts to the table. Whether or not you agree with them is entirely up to you.

Yes, as said by Fox News, the majority of the votes yet to be counted in Ohio are coming from heavily populated black and multi-ethnic neighborhoods. Which of course will majorly, majorly go to Obama.

Sigh. Do you guys count every vote before you say who wins? You know you can predict states before any votes come in.

I am skeptical that Obama can archive anything major in his next term.
