But, would the House pick Biden over Ryan for VP? House picks President, Senate picks VP. Senate will not have a Dem majority. The Senate picks VP. Woops thats what I meant. Fixed D:

If it were 269 vs 269, the red states (though less populated) would be more numerous.

Ya I know. I meant a mess as in a Romney/Biden situation.

Romney wasn't hated in MA. His last year in office was fairly unpopular but that was mainly due to him being absent as he ran for Prez. As for not voting for him now, that's mainly due to MA being a liberal state. The legislature is almost entirely Democrat and Republican governors are brought in every so often to keep them in check. For what its worth, a Rep Gov. Weld was one of the most popular governors ever. He was more of a libertarian though.

Some states have laws against this but not all of them do. That would be the end of the EC though i guess. Change seems to be verry small, you can get ~ 45 times pay out on your initial bet for this. A tie would go to Romney. When it's 269 vs 269, Congress has a vote where each state gets 1 vote equal to the vote of every other state. If it were 269 vs 269, the red states (though less populated) would be more numerous. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- What in the world are you talking about? That if its a tie the senate decides and the republicans have a majority in the senate, despite representing a smaller part of the population with thoose seats. Oops i could not have been more wrong ![]() Should think a bit before i write something, i knew it was the other way around.

However, it's more likely Romney would just have Biden sitting around doing nothing since the VP's job description is to basically have a pulse.
