I'd bet less than 5%. I try and watch a couple hours a week, usually America's News HQ and one of the round table shows, though I've seen most of their programming at least a bit. I think every bit of it is absolutely garbage and politically pointed, especially when neocons say things like "Oh, but they do serious news!" in reference to some political "mining" story looking for the Golden Nugget that will buy your way into America's heart (the truth on Benghazi, oh my!). And just you wait, it's time for indiscriminate racism come off election cycle, mostly of the character of anti-Islamic fearmongering and xenophobic puffery. When at least 4 shows on a network centerpiece a bit on how Sharia law is already creeping into the US, I'm sorry, but that makes that network terrible. I've noticed a very strong correlation between one's political persuasion and the degree to which one says Fox News is biased or not. most conservatives or right-leaning moderates will say that Fox News is either relatively unbiased, or moderately biased. most left-leaning moderates and liberals will say that Fox News is either very biased, or ridiculously biased in every way. it leads me to believe that they are not nearly so biased as the liberal would like to think. of course, I fully recognize that I have my own bias to take into account, but then again, so does the liberal. edit: one does wonder if your problem was the conclusions that the reporters came to with the Sharia bits, or if your problem was that they even addressed the issue? Have you ever been to that "foxnation" website they have? Yeah, fox is pretty bad. And the people who comment there are stupid on a level I have never witnessed before. Oh my goodness, I had never heard of that before but that front page, the liberal media bias section, the comments on the featured Romney article, the results of the polling... What the hell is this place? Never mind I'm pretty sure some people are trolling the comments section. Reference.
One thing I love about the Internet, is it really puts into perspective of how stupid some people are. I don't think many of these people are trolling either.

I found something special for after we find out who won the election (or when we're all pretty sure about it).

So should I vote tomorrow? I'm at school now and didn't do the absentee ballot thing, just forgot. My hometown where I think I'm registered to vote is 1 hour from school. I'm not sure if 2 hours of driving is worth it. What should I do TL?

You should have done an absentee but if your state is important you should go. Even if not theres still amendments to vote on. Good excuse to visit your family. ^^

I'm in Virginia, and personally I don't feel like much gets done no matter who is president. I might want to visit my mom though, but I got homework to do and work at 2 pm. Hmm I'm not sure if its worth it...

Hmm, a Virginia vote is worth a lot, one of the most important, closest states so take that into account.

I would suggest Wikipedia search of your senators and voting whoever is running against them. It would get shit done :p
I say vote as much as you can but leave parts blank if you need to, including the presidency.

I say go. From a personal perspective, and as a younger person, this is how I feel, if we're not voting then politicians have less incentive to listen to younger voters. Older people vote and thus have a lot of influence. Best line I've heard to sum it up for me was if you're not helping write the menu, you're on the menu. Popular vote still matters symbolically and in other respects, I say go no matter where you're at.

I'd bet less than 5%.
I'd bet that x % is this because of a random assertion I'm making over a specific y topic that I just made up. That works 60% of the time, everytime.
Frustrates the shit out of me that because users have critical claims of Fox news they obviously don't tune in and watch and they obviously just nitpick.
No, correction, Fox news is an absolute shithole even after Glen Becks left and it'll continue to be that way, they sensationalize everything to get as many morons with little minds to tune in and spread around rumored garbage like minions.
There aren't many honest news agencies anymore, in fact aside from general local news that has no actual affect other then to, you know, inform their surroundings generally from CNN to CBC/FOX and those stupid internet Young Turks all major news sources are choked up, media driven shit machines spewing nonesense and unimportant or misinformed dribble for the masses to soak up. Works great though, they get good viewership.
I watch Fox probably about 2-3 times a month btw, along with CNN and other news programs. It's hard to have an opinion if I just watch you know, youtube video clips that have a bias presentation. You'd not assume I was doing that though because I have a negative opinion on Fox though.

Best way to look at it is, you have a limited amount of power over 360 + million Americans but if you feel strongly in whichever candidate to vote for then vote, if not? No one is holding a gun to your mouth and screaming pull but if you're curious, to try and get you to vote, most of the World is praying America doesn't vote Romney and start pushing a global power into the stone age of civil rights: D I can't wait for the first abortion ban, shit is going to get CRAZY. "It was rape!" ... "No silly, god intended you to get raped 10 times in the ass/mouth/vagina and then have the spawn of that a child!"

Our senate race is filling a retired senator's seat. :p

I am of the belief that voting is one of the single most important things you can do as an active member of your nation. That is your voice. If you stand idley by and let others talk for you, you are doing yourself a disservice. I get a laugh out of a bunch of the people I know that bitch and moan about politicians, policies, spending, etc... yet I know for a fact they dont even make the effort to go out and vote come election time. If you are disillusioned by the state of politics in your country, it is likely because most people share the same attitude you are displaying, which allows politicians and special interest groups to trample over you.
I say take a stand, and make the effort to go and vote. I have never missed a vote personally, and even if I disliked every possible candidate, I would still go in and void my ballot.

Colorado has an initiative concerning the effective legalization of marijuana. There's too many to discuss them all, but there are some major social issues on the ballot in some states this year.

I would make a Tommy Douglas argument and state that voting for the white or black cat sometimes doesn't matter when you're the mouse. The only real Prime Minister (moving to Canada for this) who would have done anything other then sit idle and make sure not to piss anyone off to retain his PM position was Leighton but he's dead so we're fucked. That is precisely why I won't vote unless I actually support the character or their ideals. Why vote for x or y when they both fuck you in the ass, seems counter productive, vote for the one who least screws you over?

I'm glad the debate never went to ballet measures. I'm getting real pissed with the quality of democrats in minnesota. The fact that bachmann is allowed to keep her seat and the horrible handling of the gay marriage ban amendment is just pathetic.
But rather I'm really happy that this long cycle of horrible politics will finaly be over. and we can all go back to our lives and not giveing a fuck about politics unless glen beck tells us to.

hmm... interesting. to what extent, if such a negative view exists, would that view be based on one's own perception of one's self? food for thought, perhaps.

I'd bet less than 5%. used to watch quite a bit a couple years back. i don't have a tv now though. they have to compete with talk radio, or at any rate, get led by talk radio's crowd to move right.
i'd imagine the editorials/shows they have on there are far more actively partisan than the news reporting.
