Am I the only one who doesn't have a problem paying a tiny monthly fee to use Grooveshark? It's a phenomenal music service. I haven't used spotify yet, so I can't compare who is better.

If you are referring to the actual fact that the restriction is only in effect in some countries then check that list again and tell me that you are surprised.

Thats a bummer, but $4 isn't bad, and as long as you dont have an account can you still use it? I like to use it for parties and just have people throw in a song or two into the queue so everybody gets to hear what they want.

I'd love to know the difference between Spotify, Grooveshark, and other music sharing services, and how that prevents some from being used in specific countries.

God, why do I need to live in Germany at the moment... Nothing is shown on Youtube, grooveshark is closed down, google maps is in the stone-age and cafe's and restaurants rather lobby legislation against free wifi signs than put up a router... I've got a choice where to live in a year, and Germany is just not part of the modern world anymore.

Music shouldn't be free, the artists should be paid for their work. Best regards, paying spotify customer since day 1.

I agree, but Germany doesn't allow spotify either... Note, it's not just about paying.

Wouldn't that be that the record companies in germany doesn't get on board with companies like spotify? I can't belive that germany has legislation against streaming?

still free in Germany

oh wait! (yes I know I still can access it :D )

WTF? you kidding me? it has been locked/blocked in germany since about 2 weeks.

i'm using a proxy to access grooveshark since then. but it's not free anymore. you don't even have an option to pay. it's just locked.

ps: when ACTA is passed, using grooveshark will maybe be an actual crime........... omfg........................... internet, why you not cool anymore?

there are extensions for chrome/firefox, I use those =)

yes, those are called "proxies". like i said. you can't access grooveshark from germany since about 2 weeks.

Meh, still doesn't work in Germany. I would totally pay $4 a month to get Grooveshark back.

That's weird, if it changes to paid in the US, I'm not even gonna use it anymore. Their random feature is terrible, I think.

i get the window which requests me to signup & login but it only stops the music, and you can press play again and hear it

is this how they intended it to work? requesting you to signup after each song ends ?
