Are there any jackets similar to the TL hoodie in fit (slim) and is also comfortable? I ask because every single jacket I've owned up until now has been quite baggy and/or unstylish in general. You know you need to get a better wardrobe when an American Apparel hoodie is the single most classy/nice-looking piece of clothing you own. Preferably something cheaper and for everyday wear. Doesn't have to be super classy but it would be nice if it were a slim fit and comfortable. I weigh something like 120 after a really big dinner and am about 5'9" I think.
Thanks~ why not just get AA hoodie(s)? alternatively get a blazer maybe, or look for a store (i recommend club monaco) that sells in XS for men ZiegFeld what material is that jacket made of? I have nothing to contribute (TL hoodie pictures aside) until I buy a pair of llbean boots Outer layer is cotton
Sleeve lining is polyester

I'll check out the club monaco blazers, though I don't think I could pull off a blazer look haha. Thanks!

Thanks! Club Monaco is pretty bad quality, recommend you go for Uniqlo/Jcrew/Banana Republic for blazer.

i meant club monaco for sweaters btw (although yeah not always 100% cotton), not blazers :p
sorry i should have made it more clear

Ah gotcha, thanks again :D and reading it again that makes sense, no worries.
Ooh yeah I like Uniqlo. Their stuff isn't quite as expensive lol >.< their merino sweaters are really nice :3

Interesting thread. I was intrigued by the fact that the OP didnt wear jeans for a long time. I am at ~19 Years of not wearing jeans. I mean I have, but thats because my mother (earlier) and my GF (more recent) "force" me to. I would say I have no sense of style at all and don't care at all. People don't like me for the clothes I wear, and frankly, should they? I don't care what the world deems neccessary, fretting over appearances is a waste of time. If people don't like you for who you are and how you act, think, reason, behave... etc, then I wouldn't associate with them. Theres nothing wrong with dressing well, but... ugh, it irritates me that you're more likely to get a job because you dress well heading into an interview. Isn't that inherently rediculous? I guess the psychological effect is that people assume an orderly, fasion-aware fellow who can dress well somehow must be orderly and effective at working. Anyway. I think function is far more important with clothing. Don't you just feel incredibly restricted in jeans? Also, last year, wearing jeans for two weeks (during the coldest periods of winter) caused a mild bald patch of hair on the outsides of my legs... wtf? Seriously, who designs clothing?

So as casual as possible, looking as professional as possible =P Well there are other types of pants other than jeans and I reccomend that you try some. Linen pants are really nice especially when it's warm but you dont want to wear shorts, chinos are also wery comfy. Both will make you look atleast a little bit more serious. Dont really think you can look "professional" without a suit but your line of work does not require one anyways. You should also try to get a few quality casual shirts, preferably button down. Roll up the sleeves and they'll be like t-shirts or keep them rolled down for a more serious look. I personally like oxford and seersucker when it comes to materials but the important thing is that you like them and that they are comfy. I've seen some people pull off printed t-shirt under casual shirt with buttons open (so you can see the print) but I have never managed to do that myself and I have no idea if it is advisable or not. Just wanted to mention in since it kinda ties in with your wardrobe. If you want to go with some polos just get a few and keep them kinda understated (no big pony style) and high quality. I have a few cheap ones but they lose color, fit weird or get a messed up collar after just a few washes. Not worth it. I have two polos that are ~14years old that still hold up so quality matters When it comes to shoes I personally got a pair of tennis shoes and a pair of boat shoes in the summer. I just alternate them when I think it fits pretty much. Or I use the boat shoes when I can get away with not wearing socks. I used to dress alot like you during two parts of my life so thats why I did this writeup. But remember if you dont feel like you if you were to follow my advice just ignore it. I do also assume that alot of other people here can give you better and/or more detailed advice. Especially since mine could run away a bit pricewise if you were to buy everything at once.
Thanks for the advice!

Hello guys! I've been a member of Teamliquid for some time, just never really active (I'm pretty shy), I guess you can tell by my posts number. I've seen this thread and it interested me, after reading the OP and some other posts along the way, I decided to ask for an advice on hair style.
I got a somewhat long black and "somewhat" straight hair (it gets curly on the sides after some time, but I straighten it all up every 2-3months or so), and I was thinking about getting a Liquid.HerO's cut (my hair is a bit longer than that as of right now), just without dyeing my hair because I don't want to have to worry about it for some time.
So, my question is this, what's your opinion on that kind of cut? Do you have any suggestion on a style which uses about the same size of hair (long)? I'm after something that I like and wouldn't have to worry about getting another cut for a couple of months at least.

I've found that I'm starting to like h&m less and less.. the quality doesn't seem too good and a lot of the clothes fit really weird. Maybe it's just me, but yeah
I bought some pants from there (I've always been a 32x32) and they were soooooo tight. SO I take them back, try on the 34.. same thing. 36? Still too tight! They didn't have a 38 so I just returned them Same thing happened with a pair of shorts I got too :|
|
Wait, don't you mean you're starting to like h&m less and less, or starting to dislike h&m more and more?
Well in any event that's a shame DDD:
