No that's the thing, it's different shoes every time. One time at Blizzcon it was (imo) completely generic white sneakers but I had three random people come up to me and comment on them. Will take picture when I can.

Any opinions on watches?

I'm looking for a good one for a business setting, just got accepted to the business college here at UofA and I want a nice watch I can start wearing to meetings and interviews. I definitely want a metal band, but I can't seem to find one with a face that really jumps out at me as a business watch.

It's not about how the watch looks, more on what the watch means, it's heritage etc. I'd recommend the Omega Seamaster, or the Omega Speedmaster Pro (Do not get any other versions of this watch). A solid watch that will command the respect of many from all walks of life. You need to be more specific though, like your budget etc.

I like this thread. I don't think I would fit or feel comfortable in a lot of the clothes here, but I like looking at nice clothes, and I like that other people care.

There's a huge variety to choose from. Whats your budget? Someone mentioned the omega speed/seamaster. You cannot go wrong with Omega, the planet ocean is my personal favourite.

Consider a leather band though if you wear it on formal occasions, looks better under a suit. You can always switch bands of course.

I agree. I would never wear shoes like this + Show Spoiler +

or any clothes that fit that 'young, different and wealthy' sort of look, which seems to be modern nowadays. But I like looking at it.

Hey, thread's too long. I'll keep it short. Please reply and teach me.

How do you style hair without mirror? I don't use gel, my hair goes out of shape. I want to just rub them around so they look cool, but I can't go around with a mirror all the time. How do you do it?

So far I have some general procedure of rub it flat to the right so I know what it WILL look like...

But THEN what do you do? I have some strange movements so it looks descently messy but I'm not really sure...

Hmm what kind of style do you have with your hair? Length-wise?

Mines super short on the sides and long on the top so I can kind of feel if things are going a little astray. I guess you can just practice 'scrunches in the mirror' So you know if you just grab a bit with your hand and flick what it 'usually looks like' Try and make it as quick as possible, because you might look like a wanker if you're taking your time checking yourself out in a window.

That's exactly what I do. I dislike wax and I dislike gel. My hair is gotta be soft and free-flowing.
The price of that is it sometimes goes out of shape, so I need to wipe it back in shape.
I don't style. I use leave-in conditioners to keep good texture.

Where in the country is boat shoes an old person thing? I have heard multiple people say that but around me they are classic college staples.

I'd really recommend desert boots if you want something casual other then vans. From what I gathered it sounds like you are a pants even in summer type of guy which is fine, but I don't think boat shoes go nearly as well with pants as desert boots. If I read that wrong and you are a shorts guy then boat shoes are good but if they are to old feeling maybe some white primsolls would be good.

Well I live down south, near Melbourne(I am 2 hours away but you probably don't even know where Melbourne is).

Yeah I am a pants in summer kind of guy haha, basically I always wear pants, and where I live it is never really "winter", we may get some rain but usually hot and dry. I just am not really into shorts, they don't look as nice or as smart in my opinion. I am really liking the look of desert boots, would you recommend a higher or lower heel?
These are all ones I just found through a google search, and I think I like the flatter heels.
More stylish ones
more casual, closer to vans *edit-I wouldn't get white, that is suicide where I live
I like the styles of both of these, but really like the first pair.
What are your thoughts people?

If you like desert boots, Clarks is the major go to brand. They have a bunch of different styles and colours. I dont own any personally, but know people who do, and they swear by them.

Of the 2 you posted, I was more a fan of the first, didnt like the second one. I like Clarks mroe than either though.

I will second Clarks although I also have no clue if you can get them down under. Didn't even notice you were from Australia until now, my bad. Clarks in beeswax is the staple desert boot, super versatile goes great with almost all colors of jeans and chinos. I like the navy ones you linked, not a fan of the white ones with the sneaker like sole though.

Why dont you just buy a mirror?

Or hair wax. I think I will make a tutorial on how to use hair wax, aka the best kept secret in men's hair styling.

Please enlighten us.

I use wax every day and I'm wondering where the secret is.. Maybe I can learn something useful.

I could go for anything between $100-$200 USD, but it better be nice for $200

So I have taken everyones advice and have been looking at Clarks Original line.
I have got 4 that I quite like:
Desert Drilles
Original Boots-Khaki (maybe another colour)
Desert Drifts
Clarks x Loopwheeler -Apparently these won't be readily available until August, but these are probably my favourite.

What do you guys think?
Sorry if I am spamming too much, but I find you guys to be really helpful.

Not a fan of the branding or the big pockets. My go to chinos are the LEC straight fits (have them in khaki, lighter blue, purple, gray and stone). I get them during their sales and get them for $14.97 taxes in with free shipping. Great pants for a great price!

And Niso, the second one is my fav by far!
