I'm not looking for any more solid color shirts which is all I see on Everlane and Uniqlo. I'd like some more variety in shirts that I wear through different patterns on the shirt, but it's hard to find shirts with appealing patterns or stripes. Hard to get ones that don't clash tbh
Dont get timberlands
Speaking of i want to sell my timbs x harris tweed pair from fall 2012.... LOL.
Dunno if the money i'd get (i dont think i could get away with selling for 100+) is worth just keeping them as beaters

I think you quoted the wrong post.

I tried on pants at Zara and they fit great. Only strange thing is they seem to all be made slim so Slim and Skinny fit were way too tight and I cramped trying to get out of them. Regular fit is perfect though. I might just have large calves though, bulking makes almost any clothing look good o.O

Oh yeah, that's what I mean. I've been browsing various online clothes stores for various shirts but finding good ones is so hard. Just gotta wait for it to pop up somewhere.

Tapered regular fit has been my fit of choice since I've been working out. Levis 508s are perfect for me but theres also 520s if your a bit bigger.

should i hit up dover street market when i go to new york on the 1st???

I've been trying to stay away from Levis. I prefer really dark washes and I don't really do that whole don't wash your jeans thing so every time I buy Levis they lose their colour after 2-3 months, and not in the nice faded way. I'm probably doing something wrong tbh, but for example, I have a pair of AE dark wash jeans for I think 1.5 years now and the black is still black.

yea. acne too. idk i read a list of good shops a while back
ur going to ny? aw shit.
- you're gonna need some overdyed stuff lol.
why don't you just not wash your jeans every week? even once a month or every 2 months will be a huge improvement.

you missed atelier by like 1 month
it's a gutted carcass by the time you get there

How often do you guys wear your jeans when you do that? Do you have like 6 jeans in the freezer that you rotate in and out? o_O
I just think it's icky to not wash stuff when I wear them, slush and etc. I've never bought jeans >$100 so I've never considered doing all those things, seems excessive for $40-50 pair.

yeah on that note what is proper treatment for clothing >_>

Anyone in Los Angeles that might be interested in buying:
1. J.crew Dock Peacoat Small - Navy
2. Ludlow sportcoat double vent in Herringbone wool - charcoal - 38s
PM me if interested selling at very low price, both are brand new never worn.

no
do you sweat a lot or something? washing them so often resets the tightness so your jeans feel less broken in. my APCs went 10 months, and im currently at a month with 2 other pairs.
do they literally feel icky (sticky) or smell? time for a wash. otherwise it's probably in your mind. jeans are made to be tough enough to work in. a few months of walking around isnt gonna wreck it lol.
even for that $40 range my levis only get washed a few times a year (once a year recently) and ignoring the fade they feel fine.
that said, i do rotate fairly often and each pair only gets a wear like twice a week. but even when i did one pair 5-6x a day every week they didn't get nasty till month 6 or7. (though it helped that i wore them in the winter)
as for how i wash my jeans, raw denim gets put in the bathtub, and non raw denim gets the washer. hang dry them all. ive never frozen my denim.

proper treatment on what clothing? that's too vague.

define low price

i didn't plan my new york trip beforehand so i don't really care if i cop anything while i'm there since i have no plans
just wondering what was cool to look at clothes-wise because like most of the time i'll probably be getting fucked up anyway
|
idk what part of the city all the cool BM stores are at. i was there a few years ago when i didnt know anything about clothes and ran down 5th ave but i dont remember anything particularly cool
dont get too fucked up brah stay safe

freezing denim is stupid because cold rarely kills bacteria at lower temperatures they just form capsules and 'hibernate' so to speak and re-emerge anyone that took a basic bio course in high school should know this, idk why freezing denim is an actual thing
best thing to do if you don't want to wash them is hang them in sunlight for an extended duration, uv rays will kill bacteria in time. otherwise just wash them, clothing is supposed to fade.
for taking care of clothing, there's a care tag for a reason. also hang black/darker dyed clothing away from sunlight, the sun tends to fade/bleach clothes. don't hang knits/wool clothing. i'll edit when i think of more

Anyone have some simple ideas when going for a late 1920s look? I have an event that demands it. From what I gather the style of suits were pretty similar to today so possibly I would mostly be interested in some accessories. Some kind of hat is probably mandatory :p.

Should I be going down 1 size for shirts from uniqlo?

I wear S normally and XS from uniqlo and they fit the same, so I'd say yes. (160lbs 5'9")
