I'm heading there for the weekend and would like to pick up some stuff. ^^ Your only two real options are the Niagara fashion outlets or Walden Galleria. The Macys at Walden tends to have very good sales all the time because of all the Canadians shopping there. There are regular mall stores in there otherwise (BR, Jcrew, etc...). The best thing in Walden is going to DSW and checking the clearance racks in the back for some shoes. If youre lucky you can find some really great steals there. Sometimes you come up empty though. At the outlets, they have a Jcrew factory, Br factory, etc...You can check the full store list online. The sales in those stores tend to be pretty good also, again because they know the Canadians are going to be filing through. I used to go there a couple times a year to shop, but unless I need something really specific, or a lot, its cheaper (or equally cheap) to actually shop online I find, and it is obviously a heck of a lot more convenient. Good luck on the shopping trip!

I should've been looking for something ages ago, but meh. Anything other than beanies? Let's say I don't want to freeze in my coat, and not look totally disproportionate, fashion-wise. I can't think of anything. scarf & muffs? or you can wear a balaclava

Good luck on the shopping trip! Thanks! I'll make sure to head to Walden :3 I think it was planned already though, but it's good to hear that it's the one of the best options. ^^ I don't buy online because I have sad troubles with fits (sometimes medium better than small, and sometimes small better than medium tt), plus paying for shipping and brokerage makes me feel sad when it's like +$30, even though the selection's infinitely better. I was actually looking for a Uniqlo but they're only in NY and SF :c

I can only wonder how long/much it took to gather all those edit: dat dino suit There's not a really a how to guide like a recipe where you have X shirt, Y pants and Z shoes that makes a outfit. You can read stuff like /r/malefashionadvice, styleforum, etc. to learn basics like fit, colors, layering and what brands have good cost/quality. Sure there are tried and true "uniforms" like OCBD+chinos or jeans with a versatile shoe like vans but getting beyond that is a lot of checking out other people's fits like Azurewrath as well as inspiration albums. Find what you like, try to emulate it and in the process you can somewhat form your own style (not that it has to be necessarily unique as many people stick to cores like streetwear, prep, americana, etc.). Gathering a wardrobe can take a bit if you don't have a solid amount of disposable income but you can easily start with sustainable ideas like the French Wardrobe in which every season you pick up a few classic essentials with the idea of saving up for quality over quantity.

I can't help but ask myself what you do for a living though. I'm always under the impression that TL is a bunch of broke students playing computer games haha. Would you say you spend much time looking around at what you would want to wear? Like, is fashion a main hobby of yours or just something you do casually (but purposefully)? I don't know if you get what I mean but eh :D Keep up the good thread, very nice, gives me a lot of ideas on what exists and what I can aim for when I want some new look ![]()
