You mean these? http://haberdashmen.com/2013/03/19/3-ways-to-wear-our-new-l-b-m-1911-jackets/#more-11171
I had not heard of them until you just mentioned them, but that is exactly what I'm looking for. Is it of better construction/quality? Probably, but $300/$400 better? Not on my budget. The convenience of the Bonobos guideshop, shipping, customer service, and the fact that it fits very well and won't need much tailoring sealed the deal for me (I didn't pay full price either). Definitely look into them next time.

I think I have to preface with the fact that everyone I meet or see wearing anything RO is either kinda chunky or buff, so I've always thought the fits would be inferior on a slimmer, athletic build, but I guess I was wrong. I'd also like to add that I'm really loving the black trainers. The toebox is much more streamlined compared to the geoboxes or ramones, which don't look worse, but have pretty severe proportions so they don't fit my style very well.

I know jackshit about fashion and style (though I'm now subscribed to this thread after forgetting about it) but I'm pretty sure I dress like a pleb. T_T Athletic pants/shirts should be for when I'm NOT out in public on a normal day. They're so comfortable though, so that's why most of my shit is like polyester lol. Poly isn't necessarily a bad fabric, there are some cool things you can do with it. Reason why there's so much hate on artificial fabrics is because it's easy to procure and thus used in various types of cheap brands. As with all things you encounter, there are different ways to approach/utilise any type of material in clothing.

Yeah, I'd like to in the future but at the moment I only have 2 suits and I have a suits-five-days-a-week job so I need at least two more. One of them is really shit polyester-viscose blend that's a size too big, too. I mean, suitsupply is probably where I'd start but I was wondering if someone had more experience with some random shops somewhere. A long shot I suppose.
Although gieves and hawkes have a sale on right now...

ofc not on your budget but it's a better jacket. to be fair yours is a cotton-linen blend and this is pure cotton, but lbm makes those too. for the cut and the details it's worth it. also i feel like i can trust lbm over bonobos to sell me a good blazer. i havent handled one though. couldnt tell you the minute things :[.

I made a spreadsheet of the stuff (plus a few gadgets here and there) I'm going to buy over the course of the next year. my list is at 22k and counting

uhhh it has links to shit sold in limited amounts/on auctions so you finna kop my shit!!! I c right thru u m9
anyhow, my list is still changing and shrinking/growing. I highly recommend people that are first starting their wardrobes/restarting their wardrobes to do something like this [make a spreadsheet] because you can filter the items you want to buy in terms of priority, price, etc. Makes it much easier to go about acquiring things, and maybe tossing stuff you don't really need in lower priorities later on, as well as plan how much money you've spent or will be spending. or maybe I'm ocd as hell and feel a need to organize everything in my life, lol

well i meant post the spreadsheet with the list .....
im gonna kop it and resell to you for profit ^_^_^_^_^
