You mean these?
http://haberdashmen.com/2013/03/19/3-ways-to-wear-our-new-l-b-m-1911-jackets/#more-11171

I had not heard of them until you just mentioned them, but that is exactly what I'm looking for. Is it of better construction/quality? Probably, but $300/$400 better? Not on my budget. The convenience of the Bonobos guideshop, shipping, customer service, and the fact that it fits very well and won't need much tailoring sealed the deal for me (I didn't pay full price either). Definitely look into them next time.

lol I don't understand the techwear trend at all tbh, it looks like regular gym/jogging clothes to me.

a lot of the innerwear and def the shoes are pretty much gym clothes haha. the pants too, sometimes. i think i'm into the more simple outers, because its cold enough in illinois to need them sometimes, and i like how minimal they are without being completely monotone (aka black). i think i like the clean lines vs the flowyness of ninj or something, and i'm not really into the proportion play. that said i still think i wanna try all rick one day lol. also geos are not out of the question with some techwear.

right now though, i need to find pants. just not sure how i want the silhouette to work out, + waiting a bit because budget.

actually more pressing matter is to find a damn tailor for darting on some shirts + hemming/tapering some pants. i'm a lazy motherfucker

I finally met up with some dude who had my exact proportions dressed in RO everything, and pictures honestly don't do the fits justice. I think I have to preface with the fact that everyone I meet or see wearing anything RO is either kinda chunky or buff, so I've always thought the fits would be inferior on a slimmer, athletic build, but I guess I was wrong.
I'd also like to add that I'm really loving the black trainers. The toebox is much more streamlined compared to the geoboxes or ramones, which don't look worse, but have pretty severe proportions so they don't fit my style very well.

most of the patterns you've been showing us are quite literally just variations on canvas plimsolls, so there's not really anything to love or hate about them.

but dude one of them uses DENIM, that's def worth 500 dollars right

uh denim is literally canvas except twill instead of plain
whatevs it's his dilapidated dineros

Finally going to go get some N&F jeans tomorrow :O Nordstrom's might not have the kind I'm looking for though, so with luck, I'll at least be able to try the fit.

I know jackshit about fashion and style (though I'm now subscribed to this thread after forgetting about it) but I'm pretty sure I dress like a pleb. T_T Athletic pants/shirts should be for when I'm NOT out in public on a normal day. They're so comfortable though, so that's why most of my shit is like polyester lol.

Poly isn't necessarily a bad fabric, there are some cool things you can do with it.
Reason why there's so much hate on artificial fabrics is because it's easy to procure and thus used in various types of cheap brands. As with all things you encounter, there are different ways to approach/utilise any type of material in clothing.

Greggy make sure its not made of polyester. Unless its a tech fabric that shit is hot. At your price ($500ish) it might be worth saving up to a $1k bracket suit. Why not another Suit supply?

Yeah, I'd like to in the future but at the moment I only have 2 suits and I have a suits-five-days-a-week job so I need at least two more. One of them is really shit polyester-viscose blend that's a size too big, too. I mean, suitsupply is probably where I'd start but I was wondering if someone had more experience with some random shops somewhere. A long shot I suppose.

Although gieves and hawkes have a sale on right now...

yeah. heres the one i want but dont have the $600 to cop (fuck and its in my size...)

http://korvue.shophaberdash.com/products/roberto-cotton-twill-blazer/l.b.m.-1911/apparel/4534312_10002_10029__

ofc not on your budget but it's a better jacket. to be fair yours is a cotton-linen blend and this is pure cotton, but lbm makes those too. for the cut and the details it's worth it. also i feel like i can trust lbm over bonobos to sell me a good blazer. i havent handled one though. couldnt tell you the minute things :[.

also why is it impossible to find geller flight pants

uhhh it has links to shit sold in limited amounts/on auctions so
you finna kop my shit!!! I c right thru u m9

anyhow, my list is still changing and shrinking/growing. I highly recommend people that are first starting their wardrobes/restarting their wardrobes to do something like this [make a spreadsheet] because you can filter the items you want to buy in terms of priority, price, etc. Makes it much easier to go about acquiring things, and maybe tossing stuff you don't really need in lower priorities later on, as well as plan how much money you've spent or will be spending.
or maybe I'm ocd as hell and feel a need to organize everything in my life, lol

for a guy that dedicates himself to exclusively shopping at luxury brands you're hilariously clueless

to continue the list:
balmain
balenciaga
lanvin
SLP/YSL

but DH are the best for your $ if you want to go designer.
