I haven't been too happy with a fit in a while.
+ Show Spoiler +
I know its not the best and there's plenty to improve upon - the shirt is long because it's meant to be tucked in, flyknits are really played (comfy as fuck though), I prolly could have gone w/ different shoes... etc. But honestly I'm pretty happy with how it turned out. It's minimalistic enough without going into the all black everything thing, appropriate for the weather, comfortable for it's purpose (showing relatives around), and I feel very aesthetically content.
I dunno. Good start.
edit clarity. im not overjoyed, just not unhappy like normal even tho its pretty boring

Any recommendations or places to look?
jcrew, uniqlo, gap, brook brothers has decent selection

Also not trying to be a bit budget conscious ^_^

what. im 6'0'' and 10.5 feet. and im asian i dont understand what we're going at here lol while we're on the topic of shoes though, I need new ones. My only pair of shoes is old sneakers and summer is approaching. What kind of shoes + colors are recommended?
|
are we talking about real shoes or sneakers?
I'd just get converse if it's the latter. If you want to go with the 'healthy' route, I'd go with Minimus, but they are fugly and this is a fashion thread so lol.

yeah i came to the fashion thread for something that looks nice i guess. :d

depends on how much you're willing to spend, mate.

for shoes, what do you mean not brown or black? cause you have them already, or...?
go to your local nordstrom or macys and pick up a random colored suede driving shoe i guess. for loafers, get brown :p.
and for shoes, what's the budget @ kenpachi

Rancourt cordovan mocs are nice....

don't get jcrew or lands end. jcrew is shoddy quality and whilst land's end is actually pretty decent, you're definitely going to need to tailor it because the cuts are boxy as hell, even with their 'tailored cuts' version.
does anyone have any idea how CCP or the Viridi Anne boots fit?

On June 06 2013 02:40 Pulselol wrote: they're tts (viridi anne/ccp) well since yall so useless I looked it up at work, lol. ccp is size 2 down usually and very narrow and instep is small. the viridi-anne uses some weird sizing though, like size 2 is the same as a EU 42-43 and fit snug on wide.

size 2 down for ccp? i could swear they're tts o_o??

Yeah i've already got brown and black shoes (which i got from nordstrom). I actually think i get a discount on lands end since i work for sears if i can find something good (although apparently they are boxy )

I actually think i get a discount on lands end since i work for sears if i can find something good (although apparently they are boxy ) Well, I have a slim Asian profile so literally every shirt needs to be tailored to taper. For reference I'm 5'9" [175-ish cm] and 35 chest/30 waist; those ocbd's are pretty nice in terms of fabric but the cut is just.. I feel it's tailored for an aging fat white collar man. Armholes and waist flare is huge, cost me like 35$ to tailor, and you can only take in the armholes so much before it starts looking strained.
Once I get my np/boo I'll report in on the fit, but it should match the anecdotes given on sufu.

oh i swear somebody was saying ccps are tts on sufu but szg people def know what they're talking about
so like i have a list of stuff i need to buy
geos acne max cash a new wallet ~maybe~ a toj idk
total comes to like $2k shit nigga

I have a huge wishlist organized by category of clothes (not clothes / suit related / not suit related) and annotated with a buy date. Although that last part isn't quite finished yet cause I don't know my funding situation with a lot of it, and some of it is a little too expensive. As of right now and not counting things I might want but i don't really know yet
+ Show Spoiler +fw13 - Upgrading my every day carry with a new key hook ($50)
- some running tights and running gloves ($100)
- snow gloves ($10 lol)
- a suit (right now between BB, hickey freeman (mtm?) or suit supply) (under $1000)
- apolis/other navy unconstructed blazer ($300 max)
I might not end up even getting the suit, which is totally cool cause $400 on clothes in 6 months is still a lot for student. ss14 - JEANS (momos, pjbs?) ($300)
- some kind of rain jacket (under $100?)
- meermins ($250 w ship)
I'll be in NY during ss14 so I can actually do all this. Plus some smaller stuff whenever I get the chance/feel like some instant gratification - New belt (tanner, $100)
- Ties (Black knit, navy grenadine, no more than $100 each)
- Pocket Square ($20)
- a real fucking camera
- travel backpack
I really like lists.
