I am looking for a leather jacket atm, what is this exactly? www.louis.de They have some leather jackets but for riding a bike and have lots of shops in germany where you can try them on. The protection inside can be removed. A friend of mine wears the Highway 1 Retro II all the time and is quite pleased but i cant say more about the other jackets they sell.

And i'll repeat my boatshoesockquestion... you're supposed to wear them without socks when you go boating.. so no, it wouldn't be a faux pas. and that's the thing that makes them inherently disgusting, even if you powder them after every wear: your sweat and dead skin cells and whatever the fuck is on your foot accumulates inside the shoe. Temple of Jawnz double rider MTM. http://toj-gallery.com/main.php?g2_itemId=16281 The following is a JW Perfecto (I'd wager it's marginally better quality & cut than a ToJ) but it gives a good idea how one would look like in a fit. assuming you're Asian and all. + Show Spoiler + ![]()

I'm from the UK so i can only use those shops in the UK. I'm just under 6 foot, 22, and i weigh about 86kg, i have brown hair, and brown eyes, im not particularly athletic, have a belly on me, but im not super fat either. I have a wide broad shouldered build, like a rugby player, and shorter legs than most people realise (i take short legged clothing usually, my body is quite long i guess). This suit is for job interviews so i want it to make me stand out, but at the same time it needs to be dark/black seeing as its formal wear and i don't live in a hot sate in america. from what i gather, for my build i should go for a large lapel, two buttoned, single vent, light-wool suit, with no pleats on the trousers. Any other advice? bearing in mind im working on a budget as well, so nothing too expensive. Charcoal gray or navy, make sure the shoulder fit is good, the rest can be more easily altered. Do not be afraid to have certain things altered, especially sleeve length and leg length. Get the most expensive you can afford (without going nuts) and you will get something you can use proudly for both interviews and formal occasions. Some people, probably me including, would tell you not to get a black suit, but since you want to be able to use it for weddings as well, maybe you can pull it off... Depends on your skin tone. And back to the boat shoes, what brand were the posted ones? And yeah, I guess I should be wearing them without socks... Maybe you can wear them with short socks like the ones below to not have to deal with what you find disgusting about boat shoes, or would that look stupid? + Show Spoiler + ![]()

If however you're confident you won't find yourself amongst flocks of those soled in similar attire, at the very least - lose the socks. I'd go for some ferragamo suede loafers if you want the prep or just something classic like supergas if you want to play it safe. Boat shoes are just one step away from a sweater tied over your shoulders.

UdderChaos, the basics are pretty much this - 100% wool - navy or grey - make sure they fit the shoulders first, because the waist can be altered a bit - tailor both the jacket and the pants Single vent is a preference, I think doubles look better. Light weight is a weird classification because you'll be buying off the rack, so you won't actually know the weight most of the time. don't worry too much other than how you feel in it. Large lapels would be good for your shoulders (correct me if im wrong).

muji and journeys have some nice pairs, but if you wash them, do so in a mesh wash bag or they might end up getting sucked into the black hole known as the washing machine, whisked to an inaccessible dimension. I'd also like to take this moment to reiterate my sentiment that boat shoes are lame and gross. :D as for the suit question, the vent style is entirely up to you. there are no rules as long as you're ok with it.

I see that look all the time over at TFM, it seems like the shorts, no socks, sperries look is worshipped lol. On topic, though, are there any semi-casual leather shoes I can buy? I got a discount at men's wearhouse so I'll be buying some nice clothing for 50% off of my entire purchase. What kinds of leather shoes should I be looking for?

They also are incredibly versatile and can be worn with a wide variety outfits ranging from casual to very dressy. This jacket, however, is not versatile. If you have money to burn or just really want it, go ahead and get something like this for a leather jacket. I'd recommend getting something a little more basic and classy. Also, don't be afraid to sink a little extra money into a really good jacket. I got a really nice jacket several years ago for about $500. Black, very basic cut, one zipper, no taper at the bottom, but it was made with a gorgeously smooth leather. I can't even count the number of times that random girls (and gay guys) have approached me and complimented me on it over the years.

I feel like their cut isn't tapered enough and kinda bellows out at the waist. Maybe I am just too skinny or the fit pictures I see are poorly done. Granted their quality is top notch so maybe I'm just nitpicky. speaking of coats I'm really keen on Raf Simons 1995 A/W12 duffle
