pics? although i wont be buying any new coats.... and apparently only 2 US stores stock PJB so im gonna wait till next summa when i'm in NY. i could use a rec on a cotton unconstructed blazer under under or around $200. aka a light jacket, because at the moment all i have for these is a windrunner. im thinking about apolis atm but if theres better alternatives... i want to drop $600 on an LBM or more on a boglioli but at the moment it's probably a bad idea because im a college student lol | ||

So prom for my school is coming up and I have a tuxedo picked out ~ standard black jacket with + Show Spoiler + ![[image loading]](http://www.the-perfect-necktie.com/images/D/VTH-S-3_zoom.jpg) that underneath. And I was just wondering if anyone thought that a green carnation would go well with the outfit ^^; If it's too much of a mismatch i should just get a white flower right?~_~; | ||

more important is whether you bought your tuxedo, and how does it look on you. post some pics! as for the flower, i dont think you should go green. black tends to look greenish in artificial light | ||

I like the outfit but the bottom kills me. I hate that look. The no socks look with white dirty white shoes and a gap showing your ankle. Seems silly and out of place | ||

Seems silly and out of place those are common projects. they arent just your average white shoe. the bottom half probably looks funny because of the poor lighting. I would worry more about wearing a dress shirt in that way. it just looks silly to me. an ocbd would just look better in this fit. | ||

- yes, there is a hood - no, it isn't me - 'button down' refers to the collar, so like a lot of people mentioned, it's not an OCBD. on that note, I'm not quite sure if the shirt is from Raf by Raf Simons or the Raf Simons 1995 line - the fit on the pants is this particular person's take on the outfit. both the Achilles Low and the Raf trousers are tailored to create a specific silhouette that flows with the top - the complaints you all generally have are a lack of understanding regarding what the person's fit is trying to achieve. not everything is supposed to be about colors, or how a dress shirt shouldn't be layered directly underneath an overcoat, blah blah blah I guess a bit of background is helpful: nobody wants to see an ordinary outfit in the thread this picture was originally posted in. the point is to play around with different elements drawn from designers' collections to incorporate your own vision of how clothing should be worn. everyone posting their everyday outfit would be pretty pedestrian and an absolute bore to scroll through; the thread (in which the picture was originally posted) is meant for inspiration. if they wanted people to give critique on how they dress they could go to reddit or sf or something. granted, in my opinion, the fit of pant is fine, but I would've gone with either different shoes or a different shirt. In the end, it's simply the expression of an individual's concept and should only be taken as such. frankly I posted it just because I liked the coat, lol. PS If we could, can we try to establish the precedent of spoilering pictures in quoted responses? | ||
