Noted, thx. I did think the white one fitted fine I agree on the khaki though, it's too big. But I disagree about the tucking choice. Tucked always looks better here. If you can show me an example where an un-tucked button-up under a pullover is better, I'm open to change my mind, though. If you mean tucking however, as in when your only wearing the shirt with nothing over though, I agree then you are free to chose.

what if i started a female fashion thread, juliette
|
not as many females on TL but it'd be fun. im looking to learn more about runway womenswear anyway. there's too many fashion blogs out there tho.
|
how awkward would it be for a bunch of dudes to critique female fashion
|
how andro would those dudes be?

not hard at all honestly if you have an understanding of proportions and overall shape. just adjust for a feminine silhouette. however, I find shoes and bags really perplexing. I can certainly tell the difference between well made ones from poorly constructed ones, but beyond that it's a mystery. what makes a bag or heel design good or bad, etc. I've asked girls these questions as well but they never give me useful answers.
also no idea why people focus so much on colors/hues/tints when they can't even start putting together decent fits.

The clothing itself is cool cause there's more that they can do. I'd be fine with talking about it in two regards: what i like on girls and what i'd wear if i was a girl. It'd be slightly different.
I get bags in shoes im the regard that i have a preference for certain ones. I'll try to ask around and report back. Should we make this happen lol

hello, I'm a 23 years old student and my sense of fashion is...not the greatest. I usually wear sandals, jeans and a nice looking t-shirt, but I'm looking to step my game up.
Height: 1.85m, that's like 6'0 Weight:88~Kgs, meaning 195~ lbs Measurements - uhh...I'll take a rain check on this. Body style/occupation - Student, trying to look relaxed (hence the sandals and simple getup)
I work out a lot but am looking to get...fitter( is that a word?). I'm having a case of being bald as fuck and I can't really grow a beard.
pictures:

Pretty drunk here but it's a good picture that shows my body from not a while ago. ![[image loading]](https://fbcdn-sphotos-g-a.akamaihd.net/hphotos-ak-snc6/282549_2028481826492_6393374_n.jpg) I love this picture. I'm not too sure what kind of advice I can/will get from the thread, but I'm open to any suggestion. Of note is my hair/facial hair, I really dislike being semi-bald.

Dump sandals and dump bad looking running shoes is the easiest way
Then step up the jeans you're wearing. Then get nicer shirts, preferably not graphic t's
Can't quite help with not having hair though hahha. Wear more hats?
|
I have Blundstone shoes + Show Spoiler + but eh...I'm kinda in a desert-ish country, so sandals are socially acceptable.
|
They don't necessarily look good though. What country? And whats the temperature like?

Can you wear contacts? either that or invest in a nice pair of glasses, one of the two. It would be good to get a pair of black rimmed ones, squarish, anything that looks a bit like these: + Show Spoiler +a safe yet kinda stylish option. If you want to go for something less safe do some homework, read fashion mags, look at adverts and films ect.
General fashion stuff:
-Wear a belt when your first getting into it, and one that fits and isn't to out there. General rule is something on the belt matches the shoes colour wise if you want a bit more direction.
-Stop wearing running shoes, trainers/sneekers are ok. What's the difference you ask? well anything that has a flatish sole is not a running shoe, running shoes have clear treaded bottoms. If in doubt, wear smarter shoes.
-Don't be afraid to dress too smart. Obviously going for a walk in a park in a tux ins't normal, but anything else pretty much is, its much easier to make the mistake of under-dressing than over dressing, so when in doubt smarten up for an occasion. Wearing a casualshirt everywhere and you cannot go wrong, sure t-shirts and polos work but you can make them look wrong, a shirt and jeans on the other hand you pretty much can't.
.-Baggy clothing, and things that generally fit. There are some rare people in the world that wear too tight clothing, but you like most guys who arnt heavily into fashion tend to wear to baggy clothing, if your last picture is anything to go by. Your jeans in the first picture look good, the last one looks bad. The hoodie looks a bit baggey too.
-Don't wear short sleeve shirts. Short sleeves do have a place ins style somewhere, but again unless you know what your doing a long sleeve rolled up will always look better.
-Get a decent watch and wear it everywhere, in fact get a few if you can afford them One at least has to be a classic looking watch for more formal events and when you want to look nice, a more edgy one for casual situations is good, big watches are in at the moment.
-Your hair looks good, and if its balding a bit keep it short is the rule, and if it starts to become really uneven, shave it and deal with it, don't hang on to it, you'll look much better bald. Plus baldness and glasses is actually a blessing, looks a lot better than just being bold if you really want to look on the bright side!
Hope this helps
-oooh post 500, got my hydra at last!

I would debate the short sleeve t shirt, and the watch
a) its jjust preference to have a short sleeve vs rolled long if it fits
b) big watches are ugly and distracting. Get one if you feel like, and yes get a more classic style But dont feel obligated to.

I guess on the watch, but short sleeve, this seems to be a staple of the nerd/guy with no fashion. There are plenty of people who wear short sleeve very well but i think its much easier to pull off long sleeve with the sleeves rolled up do you not agree?
|
Disagree. Graphic T's aside, a regular t-shirt can look just fine, especially when it's hot. unless you're not talking about t-shirts and are talking about button ups, in which case i'd agree that you should just roll up a long sleeve. unless its too hot (although that can be solved with linen)
