http://www.oaknyc.com/oak-karate-sweatpants-black-mens.html
like i've never had sweatpants before plus i hella got da shoes to match those so i was wondering whether i could actually get started on that particular look
|
@TheRabidDeer shave it, it doesn't really grow very thick. looks like mine, but i have black hair.
@B.I.G in dubmonks? that's cray
pulse i dont really like the way the front drops lower than the back.
andy what's the difference between those chinos you posted and, say, a shitty gap pair other than cotton quality. is that more likely to stretch like denim or something?
|
I actually kinda like the fact that it drops down more in front cuz my dick is fucking huge 8^)
I actually want to own a pair of (BLACK) drop crotch for awhile now too so does anybody have any other suggestions before i do something stupid.
|
well its more it gives your ass a weird concave silhouette which you might not want depending on how you feel that day
theres the zara ones andy tweeted at me last week
no drops in black but the regular ones actually do drop quite a bit. i can post pic if you want. also there's a zipper one
they might actually be big on you, even in S though.
|
30" waist is like medium i think idk, do they stretch
also pics please
|
i have S and maybe 30 or 31 and they fit fine. but actually wow they're pretty baggy now that i see them in camera vs mirror looking down. so nevermind. still comfy as fuck tho. btw i sag them down to my hip a bit because dick bulge, but the waist actually rolls down once for the adjustment thingies
+ Show Spoiler +
damn ive been pretty shit at recommending things i need to lurk more brb gonna go scan a ton of shit for a long time T_T
|
oh shit those are already pretty drop idk ok yeah
|
maybe they'll shrink when wash, but i wouldnt worry about the waist too much. its super stretchy.

However, both the unbranded and n&f are 13oz which makes it stronger and longer lasting than, say, gap or docker equivalents.

I think Silent by Damir Doma has some nice ones as well. More affordable than his original line but it's still a pretty big chunk of money. ACNE also has some really nice sweats as well but theyre just tapered and not drop crotch. If you can find Shades of Grey casual sweats in vintage black or any of the Stone Island Shadow Project sweats they aren't bad too. my advice is don't get drop crotch unless you know what you're doing or have a pair of 800$ geobasket dunks laying around.

ok i think i'm just gonna stop spending money after i buy a few more shirts for the summer and then we're good

Another fitting, taking some from my dad's wardrobe, he actually has something nice. Right now it's just to see more for size. This is a medium and I find it fits well, my parents usually get me large, i've also thinned up a bit. o.O + Show Spoiler +

Out of those 4 I'd also take the 2nd pair. But I'm not really overwhelmed by those either.

Not familiar with the term. Also, I guess I haven't set a budget. Sub $1k for sure for now. My time frame is plenty long; I've begun to set up a list of clothes (a decent wardrobe, I guess) I would like to have over the next decade.make a list of things you plan to buy before you start buying. saves you money. im thinking about my ocbds and trying to push myself in a direction aesthetically and all the ocbds i bought... im going to end up getting rid of everything but 2 blue BBs and a pink rugby. if you don't mind, you can always just have one made by a tailor bespoke. costs quite a bit more but its special. kinda sucks that rugby died actually. that's what i'd recommend for a light pink ocbd. i have yet to find a replacement but i got to see the pink BB one and the shade isn't actually too bad. i'd go with that. I'd definitely be into having something bespoke, but at the time, I don't have *that* much money (not enough to feel comfortable dropping that much into a shirt) and I'm in the process of slimming down somewhat.get a solid black knit. i have a navy one myself though. i don't think you need 3 of them. i also don't think you should only wear ocbds exclusively. and if you do you don't need to wear a tie every day. I don't plan on wearing ocbds exclusively. I don't have anything in a pinpoint or broadcloth yet. Do you have other suggestions because I'm all ears. I have a healthy amount of t-shirts both crew and v-necks. Also, I certainly won't wear a tie everyday (although I don't mind it, and I like how it looks [with a tie clip, that is] - but I also like the top button unbuttoned).i can't really help with the cords, but it depends on the cut you want. Alphas are a little baggy for me, but i'm not exactly the biggest guy. get grey flannel trousers. I dig the grey flannel idea. for shoes, make sure you get good ones. i'll probably end up recommending AE but it depends on your budget. I'll keep my eyes peeled for an AE sale somewhere. Iunno how much I like the design on the Strands, but, say, the Park Avenues seem a bit too plain, maybe? (??)no idea on jackets either but yes tailor the blazer. Like I said, I'm looking for a professor-y look. Something maybe in a corduroy jacket or somethin'.read this guy. he's fantastic and going through his archives i've learned so much. http://asuitablewardrobe.dynend.com/he's very, very conservative MC, to an extreme but i love a lot of the aspects of how he does things - for example knowing the exact purpose for every article of clothing. I'm about 2.5 years into his archives and its sooo good. he also writes fantastically. i feel like as a TA/grad student you're overdoing it a bit, but it depends what you plan to do in the future. make sure you dress for your job, so if you're going into a field with this kind of thing being the norm starting now is a great idea. How's that? I'm not going in wearing a suit everyday or anything. Just a decent button-up and jacket for when it's cold (what kind of jacket iunno yet - like I said, a tweed sportscoat or the like sounds good to me). The ultimate job I want is to be a professor so there's that.
