I'd go for something more square with a tortoise shell colour, a bit of depth, and some simple detail on the side, in a dark green etc.

Pricy though, but it's much easier to get one item that looks good and build around it. ComaDose none of the pants I wear are really appropriate in an office so it's a little difficult for me to recommend pants. Shirting wise, get some OCBDs from some normal places perhaps (I still recommend BB - they're having a lot of their Black Fleece pieces designed by Thom Browne on sale, and at $78 the shirts are cheaper than the regular ones), if you don't want to tuck in, maybe uniqlo? I have a jcrew one that's not too bad fit wise. Ok so I did some research on that thread and it's interesting that Naked and Famous has it's jeans cut and sewn in quebec.( where I live) I feel that the weird guy size would fit me, and the stainless steel selvedge looked really interesting: http://www.nakedandfamousdenim.com/collection/men/weirdguy/stainless-steel-selvedge.html as well as the left hand twill selvedge: http://www.nakedandfamousdenim.com/collection/men/weirdguy/left-hand-twill-selvedge.html I was wondering if there was a place for me to try these on? As it seems they only have a office but no store. Maybe a warehouse as they're based in montreal??

The next issue is fighting out what last to get. I went to a store yesterday and spent about a half hour trying on different shoes. The sales guy was super helpful and informative. But I'm still not really sure. I felt pretty good in the 65 last, which is one of the most common. But I've had the experience of buying shoes that felt pretty good in the store that ended up being uncomfortable after wearing them all day. If I'm spending $400 then I want to be sure I have a good fit! Any advice on how to buy shoes that fit really well?

all good leather shoes will take some time to break in, after which they will somewhat conform to your feet (hence the phrase to walk in someone else's shoes), so they should feel even better over time. aside from my NB minimus, my most comfortable pair of shoes is probably a pair of unlined chukka boots from AE your first few pairs will likely be slightly off, but that's sort of inevitable imo... the 5 is definitely a popular last, which one are you buying?

Look for a Barney's New York in your area perhaps. They usually carry N&F. Alternatively just go online and find a website with a good return policy.

I need to determine the last and then see what styles are available. On the 5 last, the park avenue is going to be the most classic, but also the most plain. The 5th avenue is classic with a bit of flair. It has a strip of brogueing on the toe. The strands are my favourites, but a little less classic. Also, I love the new bourbon leather. If youre going for a brown, I think it is a great versatile option.

Doesn't seem they have stores here, i'll keep an eye out for them. Any suggestions for shirts? I usually like wearing green, but can't seem to find other colours that fit me well. I've stayed away from plad shirts for some reason but would like to try them out. I like these two shirts but I have no idea if they would match with me : / http://www.nakedandfamousdenim.com/collection/men/slimshirt/flannel-big-check.html http://www.nakedandfamousdenim.com/collection/men/slimshirt/flannel-blue-check.htm

for shirts, don't get anything expensive (over $40 let's say) unless you really research it and know it's good quality. for example, I highly recommend brooks brothers shirts out of personal experience in their quality, but they tend to be more on the dressier side of things. also andy these sweatpants are on point, thanks bruh!

If you're a bit bigger then the 19 are great too. I've had both, but being a skinny guy I like the closer fit the 17.5 gives. The difference between the 2 are not significantly different near the top, it's really noticeable closer to the bottom though. How do you size them? I'll fit a pair either in a few weeks when I'm in chicago or in a month or so when I'm home and have access to a Dior store. But I don't really want to put down $600 on a pair of jeans just yet. I'd rather put the money in a suit. T_T.

the 19 diors are the same cut as the APC NC 'Same' is used relatively loosely; I think the inseam for diors are longer and it's slimmer across the board by about half an inch. Hedi basically derived both cuts from APC and made adjustments for his vision of how the pant should fit. Diors stretch 1-2 inches. Size down around 2 sizes for 21s and 19s, 1 size for the 17.5s if you want to get the slimmer silhouette that Slimane intended. Diors are NOT TTS, they're around 2 inches larger. + Show Spoiler + fuck vanity sizing If you're going to accommodate for the inevitable stretching, you should add 1-2 inches onto the vanity size differential, so around 3, maybe 4 inches ideally. ie, I am 31/34 tts, size 29 in levis, hence I would probably get a 27/28 17.5 cm DH. Also don't buy the Made in Italy, they're of poorer quality than the Made in Japan ones. MIJ has a better taper and is of generally better fabric so it stretches much less than the MII. I'm also quite sure that MII only sports washed versions but don't quote me on that. Another thing to note is that unless it's labeled as selvedge, most if not all of DH raws are not selvedge. They're simply unwashed. Personally I think DH raws aren't worth it, you're paying for the Hedi cut when you could easily tailor a better pair of denim for a lot less. or if you can still find a pair, my all time favorite collab has to be FHxNFxTY iron heart makes fantastic denim but their cuts are ridiculously boxy. I hate the embroidery on momotaro back pockets. those thick stripes are just ostentatious and obnoxious. also 3sixteen has a new premium label called 3sixteen+ that's MIJ, if you're interested.

The first thing I want to ask, before I ask other question that may or may not be as pertinent. First thing is to ask you guys the style I should be going for. Background, I'm a short guy, I wear size small shirts (I'm gonna end up like max height as 5'8 cuz I'm like 5'6-7 ish now. I've got a thin build, so I'm not bulky. I was wondering since I'll probably end up at either University of Miami or a college in my home town (I don't need much advice for that one since I've lived here for a long time ![]() Other background info: I'm white, Dark Hair, light eyes, and a light complexion with some freckles. Basically I don't tan the best is what I'm trying to say.
