It's 80 euro / 1000 ml at my shop, a bit steep but maybe i'll get it with my next order...the combination of smokey and sherry isn't that common and I like both a lot! I think I picked it up for around 60-70 pounds, so that sounds about right! It's got a lot of peaty-ness and a nice blend of sweetness, I really enjoy it!

The Quarter Cask is a wonderful mix as well. The smoke and peat are there, but not too heavy. Nice sweet notes and very smooth going down. Me, Kane and Nathanias went to town on a bottle at IEM Toronto. Absolutely fantastic buy.

Its flavor is strong enough to punch through very well in a classic whiskey cocktail which is one of the main reasons he likes it so much. I can vouch for this, havn't found anything i like more for the price, which here is only like 10$ more than your average bottle of Wisers. Completely worth the extra $10.

But that price for a "no-age statement" Whiskey... I have to check on my Whiskey Bar today/tomorrow and have to ask, if they have it in stock for a little test. And also what those experts are thinking about that! //edit: Oh man, if you can get this for 230$, get it. I stumbled across a shop here in Germany they want 399EUR (~500$) or even more So much for the initial article that was talking about 150EUR...

![]() It is a bizarre but very tasty whiskey. Tastes like a very strong IPA, which for me isn't a bad thing. It's made from what's essentially distilled Racer 5.

And their silly marketing stuff (your own square foot of ardbeg land, ardbeg in space) too. There's no way I'm paying those amounts for limited editions, of which they could easily make more of I they wanted to. Isn't that true for almost everything "limited edition" though?

And yes, the Ardbeg Kildalton was fine, but it was not nearly enough whisky for the price. Win some, lose some I guess.
