Signed up as TL-ellerina, nice to see all the TL usernames in the leaderboard and a cofounder replying in this thread. Maybe the devs/staff wondered where all these TL people were coming from and did a google search XD.

I have some experience with Rosetta Stone, and I will definitely say that memrise is much more useful since you are timed to remember everything, which puts you on the spot. With Rosetta Stone, you will learn bits and pieces of phrases or words, but you are in a more relaxed environment. With memrise, I am under pressure to remember all of it quickly; what the word looks like, and the keyboard layout. Competitive atmosphere always causes me to strive harder. This could be good. Thanks for showing me this website. Even if it doesn't teach grammar (which I am not sure if it does yet) random words would be fun to know and provide a good foundation to start upon.

It's an interesting program, the problem is that I enjoy doing it nonstop and after going through 120 words then coming back to them you realize that you can't actually retain 120 words over the course of an hour ><
