bringing such issues in the face of human rights.... such a shame.
thanks for the responses! Jews don't necessarily run any more businesses or have more economic power than anyone else, but they are really good at mobilizing politically as a singular unit. If you can somehow get into the good graces of the Jewish political lobby, you get a massive vote boost in one fell swoop.

Just some statistics; Less than 0.022% of the world population is jewish yet their percentage of millionaires etc. is the highest bar none, ofcourse they wield tremendous political power. It's just a shame since Israel is branding "jewism" as a bad group.

The United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (French L'Organisation des Nations unies pour l’éducation, la science et la culture : UNESCO; pronounced /juːˈnɛskoʊ/) is a specialized agency of the United Nations. Its stated purpose is to contribute to peace and security by promoting international collaboration through education, science, and culture in order to further universal respect for justice, the rule of law, and the human rights along with fundamental freedoms proclaimed in the UN Charter.[1] It is the heir of the League of Nations' International Commission on Intellectual Cooperation.
We cut 22% of UNESCO because Palestine joined?
I'm glad that the UN defied financial blackmail, but this is ridiculous on our part.

Hell yeah, it's free PR for the Palestinian government and now the US looks like the bad guy.
It puts the US in a tough spot since now Palestine has an easy time getting into important UN organizations that matter to the US.

Basically arab nations united and have had several wars with Israel, every time Israel won (US backing of course) and gained more land. Now the arab nations have stopped because the US gave Israel a nuke as a deterrent

The Palestinians didn't have a governing body (state). Which is what they are getting now, and what is raising all this controversy.

if someone said anything against it outside they were evil antisemites. if somone in that region tried to do anything against it the US gave israel shittons of weapons for free so they could stomp evryone that tried to fuck with them.
and now the once happy people of palestine are all refugees living at the absolute worst conditions.

Are you serious!? The Isrealies and the Palestinians have been at each other's throats since before I was born. It happens so often that people do not raise the issue unless a very large scale attack has been conducted.
Now you people who say the US is stupid for their actions see why. Palestinians have nothing to offer and are losing land and power quickly. Its unfortunate for palestine but you gotta choose your allies carefully.

To be fair, each of these expansion of Israel occurred after the Arab nations invaded Israel, were soundly defeated and retreated as Israel took more land to protect itself, which is a fairly reasonable thing to do

So true. Any criticism of Israel is taken as anti-semitism, no matter how reasonable the criticism is.

Cool,a step in the right direction.I can't wait for the day where we will have a resolution to this ever lasting conflict.
I expected the U.S to do something retarded like that, they don't care about education, only politics.
