Ok since last time some people(actually 1) said they could not see the images this is a repost using photobucket, with some additional pictures of Apkujungdong. While it may not be the prettiest city in Korea, it's the mecca of fashion and clubs in Seoul. Also it's a place I always go during my visit in Korea.. It took me a long time to find these pictures so I hope you enjoy it.
p.s I've included some of Gangnam pics as well..
The Streets
People
Shops, Cafes, Stores etc
Clubbing
Thanx that's it for now..

if i remember correctly, theres a lot of starbucks in the major shopping areas, such as COEX mall, etc. It's not as crazy as in the US, but possibly getting there. By the way...Korea is big on conservation..so in starbucks you can return your cup (so they can recycle it) and get some money back (less than a dollar, i forget exact amount).
I only went to 1 club in korea so maybe it doesn't apply to all clubs, but it was mostly electronica-type stuff, with some hip hop kinda stuff. When I went in the summer, Usher's "Yeah" was really famous so you heard that a LOT
|
most of the clubs are hip hop ~ there are only a couple of electonica- type clubs~ ie m2 in hongdae~ the rest are all hiphop and the night clubs (booking ones~ are mostly hiphop and korean pop)

Hiphop most of the times..

Am I the only one who thinks seoul looks like total shit? Sure those girls were ok, but they are ok in every other country as well as long as you pick the right ones. I think you all have some korea fetish.

I'd tend to agree with you. If you have an asian thing, then go for it, but otherwise you'll find hot girls in any country. I think it's mostly Korean fanboys posting about how hot the chicks are.
I was also VERY dissapointed to see the "thug life" dressing style in the clubs. =[

It is just some random pictures I found on internet with the keyword Apkujungdong, I wasn't particularly looking for nice girls despite the fact that Apkujungdong is known for nice girls in Seoul.. Those kinds of comments really dismotivates me when I put in quiet an effort creating this thread. I was only hoping to share some images about Seoul, sure not all people would have same opinions, If you don't like it, fine, but don't need to flame about other countries. Show some respect. geez...

Well in Seoul, Every district have different fashion styles.. In Southern districts including Apkujungdong is notorious for hiphop style...(They're not necessarily gangsters In Korea gangsters are usually dressed in suits) whereas in Northern districts it's more varied such as the Japanese Harajuku style.(if you know what I mean). In Seoul, especially Apkujungdong, you can merely tell what the person is really like from the way a person is dressed since it's a form of expressing oneself. A person can be dressed like a thug on monday, and he might be seen as a lawyer on tuesday. The guys in the club are mostly dressed in hiphop since the clubs play hiphop music. In other words, they're dressed in accordance with the atmosphere. I mean, how often do you see a guy with Metallica t shirt on in a hiphop club? that is just ridiculous...
Yeah I have to admit that Koreans are little bit too self conscience and the culture is heavily influenced by the US but it's similar in many other countries..
