I'm madly in love in a way I never previously allowed myself to be. You know, not just teenage-style hormones or whatever, but actual I-want-to-spend-the-rest-of-my-life-with-you type of love. I've always had this idea that my... uhm, I guess weirdness would be the proper word here (no need to go into a deep explanation, let's just say I'm a bit of an odd-ball XD) would prevent me from sustaining a happy and successful relationship, but this woman not only accepts me for who I am, she appreciates me for it. We've known each other for about four years (I've had a crush on her since the first day I met her, and while we fornicated at several points in time and enjoyed many a wonderful moment during those three and a half years before we got serious, things never took off for various reasons until this year), so we know each other quite well at this point, and I can safely say that I could see myself spending the rest of my life with her. We are extremely close to shutting down this thread for the same reasons the PUA thread was shut down. While some of the time this thread contains actual discussion with people asking help and people giving nice advice, it often gets derailed by rubbish that should not be here. The moderation team will be trying to steer this thread in a different direction from now on. Posts of the following nature are banned: 1) ANYTHING regarding PUA. Then a bit later I saw her next to the cloakroom, she and her friend were leaving. I approached, I totally locked out her friend, we talked for a few minutes, I got her number, they left. I called her next day, we agreed to meet on Monday. A few hours before the meeting she sent me a text that something came up and she cant meet me that day, but she'd gladly meet me some other time. I replied with some lame joke and that I would call her some time. And this was a week ago. I guess I will call her today. I was kinda busy, and a bit disappointed that she flaked me so I ignored her for a week. One can't just NOT contribute to this thread! | ||

I was something of a late bloomer in that extent and used my early adolescent years to pursue such standard and fun pursuits as gaming and music. Make use of your youth and the relative lack of external responsibilities. You're not necessarily going to get that chance again. Having a fulfilling relationship isn't a matter of practice makes perfect either. You can fall into something with someone that just works with no prior relationships and of course vice versa | ||

Hopefully it goes well when you talk about it further with her! If it doesn't though, it's important to note that sometimes people really are just overwhelmed with their other stuff at the moment... getting turned down doesn't always mean you're an unattractive person lol. I know many a person who felt bad turning down a really great guy or girl just because they currently have too much on their plate. It's their loss. | ||
