Breivik doesn't recognize the court and is going to ask to be acquitted (not guilty). His lawyers are legally bound to co-operate with his wishes, so that's what they're going to ask for. Moreover, (don't know when this is going to happen, but) Breivik's lawyers will have the opportunity to call in various witnesses, including politicians and whatnot (there are going to be dozens). One of them is a man called mullah Krekar, who is a convicted terrorist and fanatical islamist, and Breivik hopes that he will confirm Breivik's world view of the West in constant war with Islam.

Mullah Krekar, really? How is he reliable in any way. What on earth, wasn't he just put in jail for threatening Norwegian politicians with death for the second time? Meh, I guess I don't understand all this legal nonsense. edit: Oh god, they're starting with World of Warcraft now. I get the feeling i'm about to be absolutely pissed off. As if there hasn't been enough nonsense about blaming WoW for Breivik's actions since it occurred.

I wonder if they would reflect on it if it was Dragonslayer instead..grasping for straws and reading too much into things, really.

No kidding, it was really weird listening to these people, all 35+ years of age, describing and being informed about WoW. I just sincerely, sincerely hope that they are able to give a decent perspective on it and see reason regarding the game. There's over 10 million people playing the game that haven't murdered anybody and that aren't influenced by the violent themes. edit: Honestly, I don't think the fact that he plays WoW even bears significant mention in a courtroom. He probably drank water and breathed oxygen, too. I don't think that influenced his actions.

Hm, obviously Breivik took pride of this title and probably used it as a title in his Knights Templar movement.

There's no accident that he's displaying that certain title, sure. But I still think it's silly to read so much into it. I'm using 'Commander' myself, but that's cause I like the title, it's not cause I have any ties or admiration of military rank. I just think there's alot of other things you can focus on that pointless details like these.

Oh, and also, I have the Crusader title. It will only be a matter of time before I exact my vengeance upon a cruel society that has rejected me, no doubt.

Quite surprising, seeing as he's been ice cold for most of the trial.

It's not unusual for these sorts of killers to have emotions for themselves and their close ones, they just can't understand others feelings. It's a very selfish mind.

You have to grind thousands of BGs to get that title. Seems like real life too.
