To each their own, they may have some chamomile tea or something to help relax besides drugs/booze. Best of luck though, may the gods of jet lag be kind.

Reading, music, etc. but when u have something like 18 hours on a plane I dunno :S Stretch your legs, bring a ton of work to get done, reading, Nintendo DS, sleep, watch movies, eat, etc. I generally like direct flights over those with layovers, but my body gets too cramped/ anxious if I'm sitting still for more than ~6 hours, so I like layovers for extremely long flights.

Well it's pretty much never "100% necessary" to do anything, especially if you don't mind bodily harm or, like, death and stuff. But there are obviously plenty of cases where medication is vital to curing people of diseases. (Unrelated to sleeping on a plane, but you said "any drug" so I'm wondering if you also mean for "any situation".)

My plan is always to drink as much of the free booze as the stewards will allow me, and then fall asleep. It never works and I end up not very tipsy watching a marathon of movies on the entertainment system. I then crash completely upon arrival. So yeah, don't do what I do I'd you want to be semi-conscious when you get there.

So instead of having EU time, US time, SEA time, we just have one designated time and 5:00 is night time in some places and early dawn in others.

I dunno, like most things metric in the states its use is infrequent and generally specialized. In my day to day life the only time I encounter a 24 hour clock beyond my phone is our server times are in 24 h format and TL. Beyond that the military uses it, that is all I got off my head.

What does it even mean? How does it work? I mean, I understand the simple concept that if you need money, you loan a sum of it. However, who do these countries owe money to? People? So people are basically more powerful than entire fucking countries? Is it normal that a country basically fucks its entire population in the long run to make changes the current government wants to make? Are these debts ever going to be repayed? Is that even possible? I have alot of questions about this subject because economy (especially world economy) is such an esotetic and frustrating subject to me that I just have to ask these ignorant questions.
