They didn't have a large range of sizes in the study either. A factor 100 in mass, so less than a factor 10 in size. Helpman brings up a better point then.

lol thanks guys ;D
You are totally right about the logs Simberto. I was thinking if you half the size of the guy his volume/mass decreases to 1/8 so how often do you need to half him until he is 1.5cm tall -> 1.5*2^x=200 -> x= log(200/1.5)/log(2)....O_o
Also I thought you need the Volume for the buoyancy? Althought for air the buoyancy can be neglected.

You can neglect buoyance, and even if you couldn't, it'd just be a constant factor on the density, and wouldn't change any of the scaling.

Right. Anyway I guess we all found out that you need to disable fall damage on de_rats.
Me falling to my death when playing CS yesterday lead to that question ;D

Hm, that is really interesting, but does sound a bit weird too. That would mean that on average, smaller things can take a proportional amount of lot higher accelerations. If a human can survive 10g, can a mouse take a 100?

This sounds weird, i am going to take a look at all of this.

Edit: Why can't i find out how much g-force a mouse can take? I can't believe that noone ever did experiments on that.

This sounds like what i am looking for, but i don't know how to access it

If I don't forget I'll check tomorrow in my lab if I have access to the full paper

Is jail in America really that bad? From what heard you have healthcare, can go to school for free, and can work out all day. Sounds kind of like a mini vacation to me!
Please help me get in contact with the Pats organization because I'd love to personally deflate Tom's balls.

If you look past the rape, violence, popularity contest, lack of privacy, no sense of property, and a general feeling of dehumanization in accordance with a "criminal record" to stifle your ability to get back on your feet once you get out--then jail is fine.

It's not hard to get into one if you're looking for a free 'vacation'...?

Maybe it's like a mini vacation in comparison to South American prisons, I heard it's much worse there

Relative is relative.

Cutting your finger off is not as bad cutting your arm off which is not as bad as cutting your torso off. But at no point should you want/be okay with any of the options.

Is there anything to this dying scientist/bankers thing. I'm not one for conspiracy theories but something does seem a bit sketchy?

Yes, what is the conspiracy theory exactly?
They all belong to some crazy sect of scientists and bankers and have weekly sacrifices?

I don't think anyone's speculated exactly what's behind it, but it seems like part of either a single massive cover up or several cover ups.

The old adage "Three can keep a secret, if two of them are dead."

Sorry, if there is not even a conspiracy theory, then there is nothing to discuss about. Then it is just a list of unrelated deaths.
At least come up with something that involves the CIA, human trafficking and Mongolia.

But don't you see, the fact that there is no conspiracy theory proves that there is a conspiracy. They just keep all of the info on such a tight lockdown that not even a conspiracy theory gets out. A friend of mine told me had something on this and wanted to put it onto his website, and then he suddenly disappeared (what a coincidence!) and his website was completely gone from the internet. Can't find it anywhere, not even the old stuff, not even on waybackmachine.

Like I said, I didn't come up with it I was just curious if there was anything to it. I could make one if that makes it more interesting?

It's part of covering up an extensive project for the emergency plan when earth goes to shit. Scientists all around the world worked on various aspects from the engineering of structures and vehicles to medical treatments and revolutionary technology.

Once they realized what they were working on they wanted to tell the public the puppet masters were planning for a specific disaster and were hiding breakthroughs, the puppet masters decided the only solution was to kill them.

The CIA is trafficking scientists and bankers to Mongolia then declaring them dead??
