Not sure about potatoes but I have heard of storing data in the DNA of E. Coli. You can store a massive amount as well, but iirc it's super slow to read from. http://www.popsci.com/science/article/2011-01/biostorage-scheme-turns-e-coli-bacteria-data-storing-hard-drives

Probably the best way to store data in as small a space as possible is something like this: http://www.sciencedaily.com/releases/2014/07/140715085047.htm , it should blow DNA as a space efficient storage medium away by at least one order of magnitude. Of course, it is utterly impractical to either write data or read it that way. You could probably do it to a potato, or learn how to do it if you have a high end physics lab.

You could make a note called a "third" of a whole note and have extremely annoying notations in the measure, but I don't know why anyone would ever use something like that other than maybe a percussionist for a weird drum solo. Typically, if anyone wanted to have a bunch of triplets, they'd use 6/8 time, not a 3/3 time.

They should be the same. 3/4 is usually where six 8th notes are grouped in pairs, i.e. ONE-and TWO-and THREE-and 6/8 is usually where six 8th notes are grouped in triplets, i.e. ONE-two-three FOUR-five-six Think of 6/8 as two 3/8 measures stuck together rather than 3/4. It's actually closer to 2/4 than 3/4, since 6/8 is basically 2/4 with triplets, i.e. ONE-and-a TWO-and-a (2/4) ONE-two-three FOUR-five-six (6/8) Take Queen's "Somebody to Love" for an example. This is written in 12/8, but at the same time you can write it in 4/4 (not 6/4) without changing the sound. The lines starting at 0:48: Somebody (somebody) Somebody (somebody) Can anybody find me - When written by syllable, become this: SOME-bo-dy (SOME-bo-dy) SOME-bo-dy (SOME-bo-[dy)Can] A- ... -ny BO- ... dy FIND - ... ME - In 12/8, the rhythm would be ONE-two-three FOUR-five-six SEVEN-eight-nine TEN-eleven-twelve ONE- ... -three FOUR- ... -six SEVEN - ... TEN - But in 4/4, you could use triplets to denote the same thing ONE-and-a TWO-and-a THREE-and-a FOUR-and-a ONE- ... -a TWO- ... -a THREE- ... FOUR - You could even rewrite it in 6/8 (or 2/4); just cut each line in half and you'd have six (or two) beats instead of your original 12 (or four). But you couldn't rewrite in 6/4 or 3/4 because that would change the stress of the words.

What do you guys think on his opinion that trying to create hype is dying/dead? Is flash releasing going to stick to big budget TV shows and pop songs, or do you think this will spread, maybe even to gaming. Would something like Diablo 4, LotV or Half Life 3 do better if it was released less than 24 hours after it was announced?
