These guys are not "Canucks Fans". They are anarchists. Its so disgraceful. I know a whole bunch of people who are in downtown still who are there just to watch it live - but they don't realize that their very presence there provides support and encouragement for the people doing actual damage and provides deterrence for enforcement officials.

These are not Canuck fans, these are not hockey fans. These are the same idiots who donned black masks and rioted during the pre-Olympic protests. So much pre-meditation, it was going to happen regardless of whether Vancouver won or lost.

The loss hurt, but I was recovering from it until I heard all this bullshit. This is salt in the wound.

BTW, its sure not speculation that the boston fan was stabbed and killed seeing as how i saw a picture of him lying on the ground dead on the skytrain coming home, also yes a man either fell or jumped off the overpass by Rogers Arena (he wasnt pushed like some people are saying), another man was curb stomped to death after yelling something along the lines of "LANGLEY ROCKS" (greater vancouver city), a couple non-fatally stabbed people, and someone i know had his finger bitten off.

I don't blame people for not being able to leave in the initial confusion and what not especially if you came from out of town and have no fucking clue at how the city is laid out. I live in Surrey and I would have no idea where to go especially if I'm in a huge crowd of fights and smoke.

I think the news is blowing it way out of proportion now. There's only like 100-200 people still milling around from what I'm seeing and 95% are just standing there.

Idk what people expect as a better "crowd control" start shooting people as soon as anything gets out of hand? If you have a thousands of people some of them are going to do stupid shit there is really nothing the police can do until the big portion clear out.

For those people asking why people react this way is because of one word...PASSION. Most fans emotionally invest into a team too a point that isnt normal, but thats the norm now to be that passionate. Seeing that does make me feel like, hell ya, proud to be canadian. I just wish the leafs could get to the finals for once so I can get a chance to be part of the mayhem that was vancouver DT.
*Also some of the "passion" is just alcohol induced carnage...lewl

I was downtown and i dont believe any of it was from passionate fans, most of it i saw was caused by anarchists looking for an excuse to destroy shit
