Life lose and bodily harm is bad yes I'm sure we can all agree on that... but people die all the time, to get offended or be concerned by it is just silly considering how often it happens. And Oh dear god no! people lost money! For shame Vancouver for shame! Honestly... Though I clearly enjoy the idea of the riot, I see why people are against it... but to be "Ashamed" of it I will never agree with.. We are Animals and every now and then we need to act like it! Besides 99% of all damage done is covered by insurance every shop owner is prolly making money(Short term, yes insurances rates may go up..). i'm sure I will be called im mature or be labeled as a "Retarded rebellious teen". But what ever I'm no teen and I'm not rebelling against anything, just enjoying the moment is all ![]() I like the part where you say human =animal. Seeing your morals of live and dishate of unnecersary pain and sufferingg I would imagine you have no wife or children or anyone you deeply care about because then I would assume you knew the fear of something horrible happening to someone else than yourself. We'll see in the morning if they ACTUALLY riot, cuz right now I would call this a bit of a rollover on the part of the fans. Edit: it appears they have begun to actually riot, so: This is how it works: Every Canadian dreams of raising the stanley cup from the moment he can think for himself. When 99% of them realize that they aren't good enough to play any more, it becomes their dream to watch their team raise the cup, and for Vancouver, a team that has been around for 40 years without ever having won it, and now they not only had a chance, but they were expected to win. Most of these fans rioting have been cheering and carrying the colours for 15-20 years now, through all the trials and trebulation, and now it seemed to them that they would finally achieve it, until tonight. If you had been dreaming of something for 20 years, and then had it promised to you, only to have it ripped from your fingers at the last possible second, would you riot? I fucking would. And @ people in this thread, man up. Seriously. This is Canada, and we go through hockey riots every year at this time, whether its montreal, vancouver, edmonton, or montreal (did i mention montreal?). Why is anybody even surprised about this? I thought we had come to expect this, and we've definitely learned how to handle it. Just stop being a bunch of pussies. Edit 2: Okay the riots basically over. i give it a 4/10 On June 16 2011 17:37 Necro)Phagist( wrote: Hah I wish the Riots went on longer! Sure destruction and bodily harm sucks... BUT, he bigger the riot shows how much drunker/prouder the people causing it are... and as a Canadian I think we can compete with anyone for being proud and drunk! Besides Vancouver was too bloody expensive to lvie in before... maybe now they will lower the living costs xD In all seriousness... I love you Vancouver! Though some may think this isn't a good way to show your support.. it sure as hell gets the point across! And really What better way to show support for Swedish twins and a one eyed god(Malhotra for those that didn't get reference) Then burning looting and pillaging! Epic! Don't worry Canucks you'll slay the frost giant (Lol Chara) next year! Spoken like a couple of teenage/early 20s idiots who have a lifetime of menial jobs and never owning property ahead of them. This is like a bunch of koreans rioting after a korean losing to a foreigner in WCG BW finals. Thing is, it happens a lot more frequent in Canada. And yeah, Boston is my 2nd favorite team since I knew Aston Carter. My favorite is of course Anaheim since I knew Kariya. EDIT: I WANT STANLEY CUP!!! AND I WILL GET STANLEY CUP!!!

I'm confused Its not even really the fans, i highly doubt a single person in the actual arena went on to loot and riot maybe like 1 or 2 people but even then i highly doubt it most of those people payed over 5,000 for their tickets and wouldnt be caught dead being apart of it. It was mostly youths and young adults who probably dont even watch the game during the regular season that wanted to go downtown and get rowdy. And they think that rioting is what your team is supposed to do when you lose because theyve seen other cities do it on TV etc. Although their were alot of rioters, alot of the crowds that you see in the pictures are just people following them around with cameras and whatnot wondering what they are going to do next, everyone ended up being stuck down town after the riots started there was pretty much no way to get out of vancouver and mayhem insued.

You've essentially ignored everything I've said and just said "You don't love any one and no one loves you" and to that(At the risk of being perm banned) I say Fuck you, you fucking Cunt, You know nothing of my life and my family so don't make blind assumptions! My words may sound harsher but in honesty yours are truly more offensive, and I hope the mods take that to heart when then ban me and make it only a temp ban not a perm, as I do love this community... for the most part... User was temp banned for this post.

GTFO your high horse and come to terms with the fact that as a human your are an animal with basic instincts, most of which geared towards violence or running from violence... clearly your are the latter. To disagree is one thing.. but to actually think that a large chunk of people should die because they don't abide by your set of values? Really who's worse in this situation? You or the riot advocators? Clearly the drunk you talking. You have over 300 post you should know that in internet when someone tells you to die they dont really mean. I honestly dont understand why people like you arent alredy killed ![]()

By reasonably small i mean in relation to the size of the overall population of the city i.e. lets say there were 3000 rioters(probably a lot less) out of a population of 2.1million so......ya thats reasonably small i would say. AND dont forget that LOTS of these people took the skytrain in from surrey, langely, delta and new west
