Also, we have a shit lot of gypsies and a shit lot of unemployed people. The social fees the state gives to the people are really high, so it's better for people to actually not work. There is a lot of holes in the whole social system here but this is one of the bigger ones. Basically if you work (no education, mc donalds worker or some shit) you get 500-700$ dollars per month, if you don't work you get about 400$ What the fuck. | ||

We're still dreaming about the days of the Cold War when Bulgaria meant something more then the poorest country in EU. We got potholes on our roads that are bigger then Grand Canyon. Our girls are cheap sluts, who'd fuck anything for a bit of expensive cloths or shoes, even if it's the ugliest and uncleanest person on the planet. Our current prime minister is so dumb, that he calls our internal affair's minister to tie his shoe laces. Keep in mind, the internal affair minister is just a mini-me of the prime minister. We got a pop-star that's older then the dinosaurs ! Honestly, they didn't died coz of a meteor hitting the planet, but because they've heard her second album. In general, bulgarians consider themselves to be "OK", when everyone around them is worst then them. | ||

Nobody likes to talk about that though because clearly if you just pretend a debt problem like that doesn't exist and just spend more, the debt problems will go away on their own. Doesn't work for homeowners, doesn't work for countries. The problem is deeply ingrained into our political system since politicians that want to stop spending money are promptly either voted out of office or not voted into office in the first place, for being "downers" for making realistic assumptions about future economic growth relative to current expenditure. The population explosion in America that has been the primary source of our constant substantial economic growth over the last 50 years has run its course, but everyone just assumes that this rate of growth can be counted on to continue for the next 50. While that very well may happen, it is not responsible policy to base your budget expenditures on that assumption. Sorry, starting to ramble because this really makes me unhappy. Sad, sad panda. Note: Whenever I start to lose my faith in my country/humanity in general, I just watch this: Where the Hell is Matt? and it makes me feel so much better. I'm going to go watch it now. | ||

if a person you know is struggling you don't help him out, you expect him to be able to figure it out himself with the aid of the government; we proxy social responsibility to the government. spontaneous social interaction is unheard of; if you don't have a reason to talk to someone other than a very close friend then you are acting weird if you do. we idolize the social culture of warmer countries where the family takes care of the old (again we proxy that responsibility to the government), yet we do nothing to adopt such a culture because in the end we all know we can't be bothered with our aging parents when we are busy being a part of the modern world. if you ever get a kid (this is rare; as are intimate relationships) don't worry about having to raise the thing; proxy that responsibility to government run schools. we don't stand up for ourselves; we allow other cultures that are abusive and immoral to exist in the country because it would be intolerant to do otherwise. I think I did a pretty thorough job  | ||

Korea: -Pressure to study in school. All kids to is school and study, they don't get to have a life. -Very conservative society - half the shows on tv in the states you won't be able to air in korea. Sexual jokes are practically nonexistent. -In the workplace, you get rewarded for seniority rather than your ability -Government is a joke -Shallow and superficial. Seriously, I don't think there's any country that focuses more on external appearance than Korea. Girls getting plastic surgery as a MIDDLE SCHOOL graduation gift, shitloads of guys wearing elevators to make them appear taller, please... -Netizen society Canada: -Bit too liberal for my taste -Judicial system too lax on criminals -Technological behind on things like internet, cellphones...ect -Public school system is a joke - way too easy, not challenging, catering to the lowest common denominator | ||
