I live in Australia. We were given the choice of voting for dumb and dumber for the federal election. Our current Prime Minister backstabbed her predecessor. On that note, our former Prime Minister cried on the air when giving his farewell speech. But I don't really give a shit about politics anyway, OH WAIT VOTING IS MANDATORY FOR US FUUUU-
We have literally 0 e-sports scene, we got paired with South East Asia for SC2, our games are almost ALWAYS more expensive than in the US (given the currency exchange), we always get shit later than every other country like movies, games, tv shows, pretty much anything, sometimes we don't even get them at all. Our entertainment/gaming industry is virtually nothing, when's the last time you've watched an Australian movie or played an Australian game? Fucking, one of our most famous soap operas (Neighbours) is watched by more people in the UK than in Australia.
While I'm on the subject of gaming: WE HAVE NO R18 RATING FOR GAMES. This means that whenever a game is deemed unsuitable for an MA15+ rating, it is effectively banned. Exhibit A: L4D2 was banned in Australia because of the blood and violence so it was toned down. This led to Riot Cops not spawning in any game where someone had an Australian copy of the game because they were removed from all the Australian copies, which meant that the game was 'ruined' (exagerrated maybe) for everyone in the game. What did people start doing? They started kicking Australians via majority vote, even if it was a fucking Australian based dedicated server.
Also, we're getting internet censorship too. Woop de fucking doo.

Drinking and driving is already illegal just about everywhere but prohibition FAILS and we have a perfect example of WHY it fails in the US back in the 1920-1930's. I don't think your point really holds up in the grand scheme of things.
People are idiots, it's a fact we have to account for when we make our laws and rules.
I am definitely not saying drinking should be illegal, I'm having a beer myself right now, all I'm saying is that a good thing that the alcohol is not too cheap since it prevents the abuse of it that leads to bad things. Freedom is awesome, but we need some restrictions or else our civilized society would collapse. The prize of alcohol in Sweden is a great thing IMO.

The only interesting people here are foreigners and tourists.
There is no form of nature whatsoever, the ocean is dirty green, there are no real forests and not even 1 mountain.
What i love about The Netherlands? Tourists, the multicultural society that still shows some signs of "Life"

3. (A continuation of the above...) Excessive videogame culture. Playing videogames alot is fine, I do it too, but for the love of god, do get SOME other activities.
4. I have to be 21 to drink a beer, but at 18 I can take a gun and go shoot other people and get shot for my country. All the while, I can't even have a sip of alcohol.
5. We police the world, and it's a waste of time. Fuck it, the world doesn't want us there, most of US don't want to be there, and we're just wasting lives. There are legititmate reasons to go to war, and lately we just don't have them.

The land is beautiful and has it all from sunny beaches to snowy mountains, the food and local products are stellar, when I'm abroad and tell people where I come from I get a very good reaction most of the time, so not much to bash here.
On the other hand there's probably a lot to say about french people and politics but I've stopped caring about them a long time ago so I wouldn't even know where to start.

Let me help you then, it's actually quite easy.
First our dear president and the whole government are assholes who arent thinking even a second about the nation. They are just here for money (and the money of their friend, the most powerful mens/ womens inf france's economy are close friends to the president and his ministers), but well it's the same every where i guess and it has been like that for years (the 2 former president were like that too).
If you are a bit curious, just check out who Eric Woerth and Bettencourt are.
Then all the world have heard a little something about the expulsions of the roms in France.
And don't get me started about the favorite subject of our dear president, security, and how his views on the subject have worsen the mood between the population and the police (which wasnt good to begin with).
I could continue with how hard it is to find a job nowadays if you are young, but it is obviously the same everywhere.
Then again, if you can forget all of this, life is good down here. And people are aware of what is wrong in the country and what needs to be improved.
