+ Show Spoiler +The result of several months of work is the biggest panoramic photograph of the world; a 613,376-pixel wide by 181,248-pixel high photograph, consisting of 9,750 images, taken at an altitude of 60 meters from the highest platform of Torre Schindler, in Isla de la Cartuja. Just as a matter of interest, if we printed this image, it would take up to 13,800 square meters, which is more than two football stadiums.
Here is a site that I found that shows off a 111 gigapixel camera taking pictures of the surrounding view and it is absolutely stunning at HOW MUCH detail there is in the picture. You can literally zoom in and see someone holding a pen from so far away it really feels like Superpower Vision or something, Hell I even saw a house on fire. It makes me wonder how much longer until this type of technology is in our cellphones/digital cameras.

That is amazing. I had a lot of fun snooping around lol. If you look at the 3 guys fishing at the river, one of them just hit the jackpot. Theres like 20 fish fighting over his bait.

This is almost more a mesh of a video, the zoom is impressive but the sheer amount of time it takes for the camera to record all the image causes very noticeable shadow movement which reduces the whole impression for me.
In any case computers are pretty cool eh?

I used to think I was safe walking around naked after I shower because I'm too lazy to put on clothes. Now I'm not so sure..
On a serious note, pretty scary how good technology is getting like this. I seriously can't go or walk anywhere these days without accidently ending up in peoples photos / videos (randomly filming on the street or outside shops etc.). It's really starting to bother me  Anyone else have the same feeling? ~~;
