Keep it civil guys.
Alright I am sick of warning people: Trolling, flame baiting, and derailing will result in insta bans. The same goes for conspiracy theorists and stupidity generally.
Confirmation was as follows - On-site DNA test which came back as 99% positive. - photos of face sent to CIA and confirmed with photo analysis - confirmed by 20 year old wife who live in pakistan.
This thread is specifically dedicated to the details surrounding the raid/his death. |

He DECLARED WAR on the united states. When you declare war on something, that thing might kill you. Bin Laden was a nation by himself? His organization, al qaeda, declared war on the U.S., with him being the declarer. His point was that only states can legally declare war, not non-state actors. I think that went right over his head, so I was not going to bother to explain that to him. Since it is a highly debated topic in international law whether or not state and non-state entities can declare war on each other and what legalities are involved, no it did not fly over my head. His organization made plain their intent to cause harm to our nation and its military, thus allowing military action against it.
I like how just because international law says he legally can't declare war, Osama didn't technically do it. I don't think he gave a shit about international law. He declared war.

Curious about where this supposed hidden nuke in europe is...

Buried at sea... convenient... any evidence yet apart from statements by the government? I don't want to put a down on it, but without any kind of photographic evidence, and recent events in other places being hugely exaggerated and piss poorly reported, I'd like undeniable evidence please.

i see this rather critic imo its pretty hard to believe that finally they got to find Bin laden. i mean he was apparently killed by a shot in the head which makes it hard to identify him by his face. a DNA test would also be rather stupid cuz i think noone has his DNA to compare them. on another note it seems quite suspicious to me that Obama is at a kind of a hard spot at the moment in the american politic and suddenly he delivers bin ladens head and all people are travelling to the White House and chanting the national hymn with reimbursed patriotism and cheering for their "saviour" Obama !
i mean since we are constantly tricked by mostly all of the authorities in this world i tend to be rather critic when hearing such "BIG" news ...

As it is rather annoying to read through 80 pages of random ''celebrations'' and flames, does anyone know if Al Queda released a statement yet?

FROM MY POST:
Nuclear hellstorm if Osama bin Laden is caught or killed: Al-Qaeda
Al-Qaeda terrorists have threatened to unleash a "nuclear hellstorm" on the West if their leader and world's most wanted terrorist Osama bin Laden is nabbed.
A senior al-Qaeda commander has claimed that the terror group has stashed away a nuclear bomb in Europe which will be detonated if bin Laden is ever caught or assassinated, according to new top secret files made public by internet whistleblower WikiLeaks.

I don't think it was to much to ask that the Americans forgo a religious custom for a little while in order to undeniably confirm that it was indeed Osama Bin Laden that was killed. This will just raise questions that could have easily been avoided. Stupid stupid stupid.
Bin Laden is dead, I strongly doubt the forgoing of his burial for a few days or weeks would have been more angering to his supporters than his actual death.

Don't think there's a statement from AQ yet. But it's not like they're a very communicative bunch to begin with. The Taliban have denied that Bin Laden is dead.

when 911 happened arabs were in vigil praying for america.. did you knew that?

To put to rest all of the BS about how we shoulda "held a trial" or whatnot for the man who masterminded the murder of thousands of American civilians (not even soldiers, mind you), the Navy SEALs who killed Osama Bin Laden actually asked him if he would surrender quietly. Of course he did not and the firefight ensued.

Just pointing that it has been incorrectly mentioned a few times that Osama was trained/armed by America.
Actually not true, it was done entirely by the ISI (Pakistan Intelligence). The U.S. and Saudis did funnel a ton of money through Pakistan for the war effort, but the idea that Bin Laden was somehow micro-managed and trained by Americans is a pretty big stretch.
One of the biggest unanswered questions of this entire situation is how Bin Laden lives for possibly 5+ years within walking distance of the biggest military training school in Pakistan without being discovered.

killing thousands of innocent civilians unprovoked = bad. Ridding the man who killed innocent civilians = good.
Europeans don't seem to understand the concept of closure.
Your family is murdered. The murderer and his gang celebrate the death of your family. For a decade, the murderer is not caught. However, he is finally killed. Is it a bad thing that he was killed?
And understand that the US government, if possible, has a lot more reasons to capture osama alive than to kill him. Ridding the world of osama was necessary for millions of americans to gain some closure.
