And killing the baby shouldn't even be an option, unless the baby is suffereing from unstoppable pain and might eventually kill her or will never go away. | ||

klogon, she will be suffering from serious emotional pain when everybody stares at her. being handicapped and being generally unaccepted by society are two different things. people have issues with different things and you cant just change that. problem is you cant just kill a child-_-. it IS a little inhumane down at the base of it. and exactly, the point isnt to murder an innocent child, but save the innocent from living a life of suffering. If its possible to fix her face before she'll remember it in twenty years, they shoudl by all means go for it. but if its beyond repair or is going to put the kid through 50+ surgeries, why would you do that to your child? | ||

She won't be normal and her life will be difficult. That isn't enough to kill. She can always commit suicide if she wants, so whats the rush? | ||

You are not in their shoes, you speak as someone who apparently doesn't have any friends who are disabled (blind, handicapped, or worse), which I have more than 1 of. This doesn't make me compassionate or kind, it makes me sensible. I am not an idiot enough to kill someone because I would find life hard in their shoes. Before they've experienced anything.
