48/2*12 = 288 Or written as 48/2(12) Any numbers written inside a single bracket beside eachother is the same as multiplication. It's just another way of writing that out. A number inside a bracket besides another number simply signifies multiplication. For example: 2x is the same as 2(x) or even 2 * X. | ||

Yea its basically 48 / 2 x ( 9+3). BEDMAS Brackets first, so you get 48 / 2 x 12. From here nothing takes priority so you just do left to right. | ||

-------- 2(9+3) is written as 48/(2(9+3)), which is not 48/2(9+3) if we isolate 2(9+3), it's written as 2*(9+3) hence it should be rewritten as 48/2*(9+3) before any evaluation is done. | ||
